Eating at a period specific restaurant is always interesting. The Eagle Tavern did not disappoint. Food portions were generous. Quality was good. If you are getting one of the old timey drinks, getting a pitcher is a great deal for the family! Service was great...More

I visited here on a Wednesday. I didn’t know what to expect. This is a tavern from the 1850’s so it was like walking back in time. I was greeted at the porch by a friendly gentleman and nice woman dressed in period attire. I...More

So many great sounding things on the menu; difficult to choose at times. It is different foods during the different seasons. We have always walked away full and satisfied. The only time we were disappointed was at Holiday nights several years ago; just wasn't as...More

We went for the holiday dinner and what fun! The entire evening was a treat. Even accomodated special requests for vegeterian meals. There more than enough food shared family style. The entertainment was a blast. Sit near the fireplace for added charm.

This was our second visit to the Eagle Tavern, and this time around we were disappointed. The soup was lukewarm and the ginger cake for dessert was drier than the Mojave Desert on a dry day. The entertainment is always delightful, and the Christmas festivities...More

We attended the Holiday Nights Dinner event. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience. First of all, the menu wasn't exactly the same as advertised on the website. The evening was advertised to start with smoked fish spread and crackers, but we received cheese and...More

Highly recommend for a fun, historical evening. The food was great but the innkeeper and other staff were amazing. They made our activity wonderful. Planning was easy, great to work with activity staff. This was a very memorable evening as an interactive walk back in...More

I went to the Eagle Tavern with my family and it was so delightful! It has a simple menu with food that was popular during Henry Ford's lifetime. Freshly prepared and some ingredients are grown right there at the village. You get to sit with...More

Greenfield village transports you back in time. People in period clothes, sites, demonstrations, and so on. And, in addition to the cafeteria style restaurant, is Eagle Tavern, a historical restaurant serving period food - and the food is outstanding! Get there a little early and...More

We've been annual members of The Henry Ford and Greenfield Village for years. Eagle Tavern was frequently a part of special nights closing out a day at the muster, old cars or holiday nights festival. However, our last three visits have all been disappointing. Pricey...More

You must pay admission to Greenfield Village to dine at the Eagle Tavern. It is well worth the admission price to eat and tour the village.

We were told it means ditto and the places were the same as the stated one above; apparently it was used a lot in the 1840's the time period the restaurant is modeled after.
