I had chicken soup and a salad made with the techniques of the 1700s. All of the food was grown within Greenfield village. The homemade bread and jam was excellent. I highly recommend.

Food was outstanding. Service was outstanding. Menu was typical for the period. Roast beef and pork roast dinners were excellent. No carbonated soft drinks on the menu as they were not available in the time period. (they do have Pepsi products available if you ask)...More

The price is a bit high, but that is expected at a museum. The Chicken Fricasse was absolutely scrumptious. Strawberry shortcake was in season and very tasty.

The Eagle Tavern is a nice place, but those of us who remember the Eagle Tavern back when it was the original Dearborn Inn are a little disappointed with the present setting. Drinks are fine, food is good but it lacks personality of the original...More

Recipes are from the 1840's, staff is in costume, eating by candlelight at rustic wood tables, all makes for a unique experience. The food was very good, especially the strawberry shortcake! Do not expect ice in your water though, as that did not happen back...More

You must pay admission to Greenfield Village to dine at the Eagle Tavern. It is well worth the admission price to eat and tour the village.

We were told it means ditto and the places were the same as the stated one above; apparently it was used a lot in the 1840's the time period the restaurant is modeled after.
