From its "gobslopsciously" wonderful sandwiches*and tasty soups and salads to its flavorful and creative dinners this place is an unpretentious gem. Great for lunch or dinner you won't be sorry you tried it. *special alert to bacon lovers....any sandwich with bacon is spilling over with it....yum!

Good food and relaxed atmosphere. Best if you get a window seat,. The restaurant is on main street close to the bridge,

One of the best soup and sandwich combos I have ever had --- the California BLT and the chicken tortilla soup. The soup was seasoned perfectly and the BLT was out of this world --- soooo much bacon. I do not think I can ever have a BLT anywhere else ever again. My husband had the liverwurst sandwich which was... More

We were visiting during the Art fair and it was tough to sit down at a restaurant. We ordered take out and sat at a picnic bench on the water. The food was excellent, especially the carrot cake and cookies!!

We decided on lunch at Scovie's after reading reviews. It's a funky restaurant, lots of art to admire on the walls. Big menu. Food was excellent, especially the BLT and chicken salad. None of the staff was friendly, and they seemed easily bothered. Disappointing.

Stopped for lunch on way north. Nice table in front great for people watching and view of harbor and Beaver Island ferry. Service very prompt and friendly. I had Northern Michigan chicken salad sandwich, wife the 1/2 BLT with cup of gazpacho. Ingredients in everything were very fresh, could tell they were made from scratch. Despite this, food was good... More

Been here for lunch a couple of times. People are friendly, service is good. The food is very good. The BLT is a bacon lovers dream come true. One pound of bacon. The waitress told me she can only let me have one a week. One of our favorite places.

Passing through Charlevoix en route to Traverse City & needed to stop for lunch. Thought we'd try Scovie's & we're so glad we did! 3 of us had the half sandwich/soup. The tortilla soup was wonderful. I had the Judge and it was exceptional. My son had the burger meal and wanted to add bacon. The waitress told him he... More

This year we were running all over and it took three days to get to Scovie's to get my cherry chicken salad sandwich. But it was worth the wait. Did not seem as crowded this year but the staff were nice and attentive. Will be back next year!

While visiting Charlevoix we stopped at Scovie's for lunch. Being a deli type restaurant, the menu is primarily soup, salads and sandwiches reasonably priced but that's exactly what we wanted. What we ordered was very good, super fresh ingredients, abundant servings and pretty good service albeit not overly friendly. Place was vey busy the weekday we were there but the... More
