For a Sat 11pm budget grease burger and fries with an exceptional drug additive taste, this is it. The quality is great somehow although they can change their deep fry oil more often and make sure the grill is not too filthy before cooking your...More

We stopped in as we were walking Saturday at the Dream Cruise because there were large lines ordering food and we thought it must be very good. After receiving our burgers we were surprised to find that the $2.50 burger was unique. Small burger in...More

Don't let the exterior of the building mislead you to think it's not great. You won't be disappointed. This place is a very popular place for a burger and I think their fries taste like McDonald's.

Like the food but we got take out and it took over 30 minutes to get the food. The servers were rude and acted a little wasted. I'll never go back as the service has gone down hill over the last couple of years.

Love taking my family here for a meal, it is always consistent. Out of town family always ask if we can make a stop during their trips. My go to is the double cheese burger with EXTRA grilled onions- just heavenly.

It has been a long time (about 28 years) since I last sat at the Hunter House counter for a meal. I have good memories of the time when I worked in downtown Birmingham within walking distance of this iconic place. I briefly made it...More

Very good old fashioned hamburgers with fresh grilled onions. No wonder this place has been in Birmingham for so many years.

Finally, after living in the area for 40+ years, I tried the Hunter House. It was awesome! Double cheese burger w/ grilled onions and pickle, french fries and chocolate shake. It was everything I hoped - greasy goodness! The staff were friendly and the service...More

Hunter House Hamburgers was established in 1952 featuring the original slider - a little hamburger with juicy, sweet onions smashed into the meat and the buns steamed hot.
