We stopped in after an evening meeting. The staff was warm and accommodating. It was after 9pm. We ate @ the bar. We had steak tips and aoli fries. Very tasty. Fresh and hot. We look forward to going back for lunch or dinner.

Walking in the atmosphere is warm and inviting; the Bar area is very interesting to design and the over all layout was nice. The Butternut squash soup to start with was very nice; especially on a cool rainy day. The Hamburger was also nice and finished off with Bread Pudding. All in all, it was a very nice lunch and... Visited for lunch with a business associate. While the decor is warm and inviting, the wait staff lacked the charm to match the ambiance of the interior. Ordered the French dip and found the beef to be tough and well done. Menu items were pricey and definitely worth the $$. Too many other places to spend your money in Birmingham.

We attended a family event at Big Rock and we were very impressed by quality and creativity of the food offerings. Served buffet style, the food consisted of a variety very tasty appetizers. The desserts were especially outstanding.

Food was excellent, ambience was good although seats in booths were wood on the bottom (not comfortable for a long dinner), service was slow even though we were there before the crowd. We actually had our waters refilled before we even got our appetizers. Waiter was very friendly, to the point of being perhaps a bit too friendly and was... More

As a high end establishment, Big Rock truly was a let down on many different levels. I ordered a filet (medium) and it came out almost rare! Had to send that back to only get it returned medium well. At this point, you're starving and you really dont want to wait around for another dish while my lady is waiting... More

Was very impressed with the food and the wine. Was not very happy with the service in the Gazebo. Don't know if they were understaffed for a large party. For the amount you pay I thought the service should be better. Place was beautiful, I would return to give it another shot.

Big Rock has been reserved for special occasions for my husband and me. We often go there to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, promotions, etc. The menu is pricey, but the food and drink is delicious. We love the calamari appetizer and usually both get a variation of the steak as our entree. The truffle fries are amazing, although we probably should... More

We had not been to Big Rock since 2014 A few years ago, the food was top notch, the wine list was approachable and fresh, the service was impeccable. A lot has changed. The quality of the food is a B. The wine list has several wines which you can find at Costco (nothing special). However, the reserve wine list... More

Big Rock Chop House - beautiful presentation of our food! Excellent service! Delicious dinner! Chef is very creative! Overall, the restaurant is a "bit pricey". I will only return for a special occasion.

Formerly Norman's Eton Street Station, Big Rock Chop House combines the rustic, casual feel of a mountain lodge with the high-energy of a contemporary club, an eclectic mix unlike any other Metro Detroit dining experience, The menu bursts with enormous, hand-cut, aged steaks & chops, including a 24oz Porterhouse, a 16oz Kansas City Strip Steak, a 20oz or 32oz Jumbo Bone-In Rib Eye, a 12oz Filet Mignon, Center Cut Pork Chops, double cut Lamb Chops & a 16oz Veal Porterhouse Chop. Other selections include Rocky Mountain Chicken, Canadian Whitefish & Dover Sole presented tableside.
Adjoining the restaurant is a brew house, with custom, state-of-the-art equipment. Award-winning brew master Dan Rogers has created 4 signature beers to compliment the restaurant's distinctive American fare: Norm's Raggedy Ass Ale, Raymondo El Rojo, Flying Buffalo Stout & Weizenheimer Hefe Weizen. In addition to these, Rogers adds a seasonal & specialty brew to the bar, which he changes frequently.
