But the building is lovely. Long communal table where you can sit literally for an hour waiting for the coffee that you ordered, or a beautiful porch with large windows. Loved by students because they can stay all day. Maybe the owner was having a bad day, maybe staff had the flu and did not make it in - but... More

Thoroughly enjoyed bantering with the young barrista who made up a wonderful double latte, all while discussing over-the-shoulder small town life, colleges, travels that lead somewhere, etc. Nice little store, large seating area, a good spot along a pleasant section of Massachusetts Rte 7. Glad I stopped in.

Totally randomly discovered local gem. Rustic and nostalgic with friendly stuff and amazing individual pizzas, beautifully displayed and for sure delicious made on premise pastries.

I have put off writing a review of this haven in South Williamstown out of sheer intimidation at the task of adequately giving it the praise it deserves. When one enters the store, which is also one of the best restaurants in the area, one feels an immediate sense that one has entered a sanctuary. And this first impression is... More

A wonderful spot for some interesting and novel luncheon fare. Good salads and novel sandwiches like croque monsieur and croquet madame. The summer corn chowder was a delicious hot soup. Great coffee is served here too. In addition, a good place to stop for breakfast on the way to Williamstown or Bennington, Vermont.

Like most old "general stores" in the area, they had to go upscale to survive. The same thing happened in Southfield, Monterey, and Richmond, to name a few. This means that their items are priced for wealthy patrons and not locals. I have eaten there and gotten different coffee drinks and pastries and they have all been good - although... More

I was stunned to bite into a chocolate croissant as good as in Paris, and better than the ones found in the Bay Area. The texture of the pastry dough, the buttery flavor, top-tier dark chocolate...truly 5 star. The spicy eggs 'n tomato (aka tshacshukah in Morocco) was less so: The sauce was impeccable. Eggs were over cooked by a... More

The whole town loves that the Store at 5 Corners has reopened. I wish the new owner well, but I have some cautionary comments. If you have a menu with lots of dishes that involve eggs, you better make sure the kitchen knows what to do with an egg. A while back I had a poached egg dish, and the... More

I am so glad this site has reopened and particularly since the new owners are operating it with such creativity and personal care. It has a lovely rustic atmosphere, and all the food is very fresh and full of flavor. The market area has wonderful local delicacies and many imported varieties of cheeses, olive oils and cute crafts and kitchen... More
