After a mistake was made with our reservation we were almost turned away for a belated Mother's Day dinner..The owner saw us leaving and immediately found us a table! It made our meal and shows excellent customer service something many restaurants on Cape Cod are lacking in these days. Excellent food will certainly eat here again

When I am down the Cape, the Yarmouth House never disappoints. It is consistently great. Bar tenders Peter and Dave are attentive and professional in the tradition of great bar tenders. The specials keep things interesting and are my favorites to try.

Waiter was rude when I asked for a new glass of wine because there was lipstick stains all around the rim of the glass. Our salads were supposed to be part of the sunset specials and he charged us for two. Prime Rib was very fatty. In this past the Yarmouth House was very good. Our bill was over 100.00... More

First time we went there for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. I had fresh fried clam roll, cooked absolutely perfectly and french fries crispy and refreshing. My husband had shepherds pie and loved it. Portions were huge and prices were reasonable at lunch time. I can hardly wait to return. Bill was an excellent waiter and so very professional.... More

We went to the Yarmouth House for dinner one night, it was crowded but still did not have to wait for a table! We were seated right away, greeted immediately by our waiter, informed of the specials and offered a drink! There is a wide variety on the menu, early bird specials before 6pm as well! The food was delicious,... More

I thoroughly enjoyed me experience at the Yarmouth House. While it was a bit noisy for a first date, the food was delicious, the service was great and the ambiance was lovely. We were seated right next to the big mill fountain. It was very pretty. I would recommend reservations. This place fills up quickly on a Saturday night. I... More

Three of us had a repeat visit after a gap of a number of months. Seating was prompt with a reservation at 6:30. We requested the front section of the restaurant on arrival and that was possible. The restaurant rather quickly filled after that. One started with oysters on the half shell. These were judged to be acceptable and adequate,... More

Really a nice atmosphere, great service and the food is predictably excellent. One of our "go to" places when we're on the Cape. Reasons to go are a Prime Rib that is one of the best around and the wonderful house olive oil based dipping sauce. If you're looking for a bargain the Early Bird Specials are a good value!... More

We have gone there four separate times and have always been pleased with the service and food. The prices are reasonable for the amazing tasting dishes. Casual dress within reason. I would recommend this to all that travel to the Yarmouth/Hyannis area.

Description
The roots to this Cape Cod landmark trace their origins back to the old country and follow a route through Canada before settling in along Route 28. The Yarmouth House Restaurant was founded in 1978 by the Kounadis family patriarch, Gerry Kounadis. Born in Kefalonia, Greece, Gerry immigrated to Canada with his lovely wife, Vasiliki, in 1951. There, he operated a very successful diner in Montreal for over 35 years. His dream was to expand and open another restaurant in the United States. In 1978 he founded The Yarmouth House and he knew he had found a diamond in the rough. He brought with him his three children to help run the restaurant. With hard work and dedication, the restaurant became one of Cape Cod’s favorites, as it remains today. In August 2006, Gerry Kounadis passed away, but his presence is still felt every day in the restaurant. He left behind memories of his great sense of humor, positive attitude, accommodating demeanor and his famous welcoming smile. Today, his son Chris runs the kitchen along with other very talented chefs like Gary Sprague and Amir Ahari. The dining room is run by his son-in-law, Ted Zambelis, and his daughter Angie, who try hard to keep up the family’s goal of remaining a restaurant with the finest food at reasonable prices in an inviting and friendly atmosphere. The family owns and operates DiParma Italian Table on Route 28 in W. Yarmouth as well as our newest location, DiParma Italian Table, Seekonk, MAWe want to take this opportunity to thank all our patrons, especially the many supportive Cape Cod residents who have kept us in business for over 31 years.Thank you and God Bless
