Popped in for a pie and coffees. The pies were advertised as home made and my cheese and bacon had a great filling but was a bit thin on the pastry. The coffees were OK, but being honest we prefer Retro Espresso. Went back to try a different pie the following day, but sadly by 8am, they had still not arrived.

Egg and bacon roll or Sanga for $8 , coffee did its job . Staff very friendly especially the young boy. On highway so easy to stop with caravan, park across road with supermarket little walk up road.. Thought well priced. Would stop agin.

Passed through Tiaro @ 1.00pn and 3:15 pm on a week day recently and they were closed both times, when the cafe claims to be open until 4:00 pm. Disappointing because we have had good coffe and scones here before.

Everything was wonderful. The young girl who served us was attentive and polite. There was a bit of a wait for our food, but it was so tasty that we didn’t mind waiting. We had tea, scones with jam and cream, an egg and bacon burger with the lot, pancakes, coffee and an iced chocolate. All of it was really yummy.

A simple order. Ham and Cheese toastie.
Bacon and Egg roll. The toastie was warmed soggy bread. Tasteless. The bacon on the tip top roll was half cooked at best. To top it off we waited 25 minutes for this. Horrible.

What a disappointing experience. A few months ago my friend and I came in and we each ordered a chicken schnitzel. It was awful; the meat was dark and gunky, and my friend vowed she'd never return. After being told by somebody a few days ago that their fish & chips are much better than their schnitzels, I decided to go in after a very busy morning at our place for a well-deserved lunch. I ordered my food, and then I kindly asked if I could borrow a pen so I could fill out a card and drop it off at the post office whilst my food was being prepared. The girl behind the counter was incredibly rude, and when I got annoyed she gave me my money back and told me to leave, saying "I don't appreciate being yelled at" when she was the one with the bad attitude. I later returned and attempted to apologize if I sounded rude, but both girls treated me like I was the problem and told me to leave. Unfortunately for them they lost a customer, who was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, over simply asking if I can borrow a pen.

Looks like what it is ... a scruffy little cafe on the highway. But don't be fooled or put off by the wait for the traffic lights to let you cross the road (if applicanle)
For 17 dlrs we got a large mug of tea and one of chai latte, plus two huge fluffy scones piled with jam and cream. Amazingly good scones.

Stopped for a toilet break while driving through Tiaro. Ordered a curry pie which tasted great. Was worth the stop. Highly recommended.

We stopped on our way up north for a quick lunch break. The staff are friendly and our burgers came out quickly.

The best lemon meringue pies any where. Very fresh sandwiches, tasty pies and excellent chai latte. Extensive menu. The staff are very friendly too. Easy parking right out the front. Definitely recommend
