We stayed at free Rv spot at the back of pub in park which you can see from restaurant in pub. Went to hotel for few drinks prior dinner, drinks cheaper than Brisbane. Clean pub with friendly staff. Toilets, eftpos. Pokes, takeaway all the norm pub things. Staff know regulars cars and have orders on counter for them. Park next door if you have kids to stretch legs. Parking available all around pub.

Lovely meal, good value, friendly service. Small country pub right on the highway. Meals were delicious, freshly cooked and generous.

Excellent food, lovely & friendly staff & locals.
Would definately recommend stopping in for an icy cold drink, great meal & pleasant conversation. The meal was perfect, my hubby cleaned his plate, he enjoyed it so much (which hasn't happened in years when we've eaten out), steak was tender & well done, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Stopped overnight here. Stayed in our motorhome.
Dinner at this pub was excellent, despite a limited menu.
Wife had ribeye fillet, husband had schnitzel. Both rated excellent, and at a very good price.
Would definitely return if in the region.
Very good choice of Marlborough wines at reasonable prices also.

Didn't enjoy the food at all and the cook looks grubby. I overheard The owner of this hotel saying disgusting things about women. He also permits very drunk patrons swear so loud everyone ca hear it. Very unpleasant experience - there is enough abuse towards women in this country.

Steak was tough and overcooked.
Staff have no concept of bringing the entree and mains at the same time.

Best pub by a mile, big servings and the meals were great, also good gravy (which is hard to come by these days)

We parked the van down the back and walked into the hotel for dinner definitely not to be disappointed 🙌 Amazing meals - semolina calamari ✅ dukkah chicken salad✅
and the good ole schnitty ✅ all served with a delicious salad & chips. Would definitely stop there again 🙌❤️

Stayed in Tiaro to break the journey, called in here for dinner, restaurant quite busy for a little town on a Monday night. Both of us had the roast of the day, absolutely superb, lovely roast pork with an excellent variety of well cooked vegetables , reasonably priced as are the drinks. Well worth a visit.

Passing through regularly we always wanted to stop. Did so one Sunday afternoon as the till technology and new poker machines still in boxes were being installed. My wife does not eat meat and was keen for a little change to the menu - vegetables and gravy - happy to pay for the advertised meal but was all too hard - food was nice and kitchen staff friendly - however the barmaid left her friendly streak at home clearly having risen from the wrong side of the bed. Even the dining table of 8 next to us received multiple wrong meals presumably due to the technology. I was served the wrong beer but after all we had been through was easier to say nothing and leave without drinking it after our meal which was ok - just ok - we won’t bother taking the break in future
