You can't go wrong eating at this tavern. Warm and welcoming atmosphere with very friendly and professional waiting staff. Fantastic view overlooking the harbour. Compact menu but enormous portions with different specials every day. We started with sharing mussels and a green salad with cheese/walnuts...More

We visited Martha's vineyard on a very wet day and sought refuge in this tavern. Quick and polite service, excellent food and sat by an open fire. Just what we needed on such a day.

I've seen countless Black Dog gift shops/clothing stores all over New England, and of course tons of people wearing the logo, but this wass the first time actually eating at the original tavern that started it all back in 1971. It definitely did not disappoint....More

BD is consistently a good time when visiting MV. It is exactly what you would expect, solid "tavern" food with wonderful island ambience. Nothing fancy here just good grub.

Love the location that still keeps its tradition. The food is great but the prices are a bit too high for its value.

It's just me and the dog. Are we allowed in the gift shop? Are there tables available outside in April to eat at with your dog? I will give them a call after Easter.

I can't answer your question because I don't remember, but, in case you happen to get to Edgartown, there's a great breakfast/lunch place with a nice outdoor patio you can bring your dog, we did, called Rosewater. Order at... More

I am so sorry to be so late in responding, I did not notice any TV's and I am not sure there was a dedicated bar area.
