From the minute I entered, the owner recognized me from about ten years ago having only met me once. now that's impressive! The good didn't stop there as we were treated to a very classy meal served with a unique attention to detail that's hard to find today. We loved it and will certainly return.

Friendly and attentive staff. Goulash soup was excellent and the sauerbraten was fabulous. The warm bread was a pumpernickel blend and was very nice with the soup. Atmosphere was quaint and cozy... sat next to a warm wood burning fireplace. I paired the sauerbraten with the dopplebock beer and wasn't disappointed.

What a pleasant surprise! The place is so beautiful, charming and warm! A typical New England "house" made a 5 bedroom hotel and restaurant. The history is all over the place in the decor. Food, so delicious and PERFECT! We shared appetizers including shrimp cocktail, fried Camembert cheese, French onion soup and this unique European potatoes with caramelized apples and... More

So I checked it out! Loved the venue, the old place was well kept up and tastefully furnished. I have my own set of rules about what I order when I go into restaurants; Italian places always the eggplant parm, Cajun places always check the gumbo; in German places? What else? I gotta have the weinerschnitzel! It's how I know... More

We chose the Vienna based on recent reviews. We were not disappointed! Val, our host and server had arranged for us to have the use of a private room for before dinner drinks and conversation. A blazing fire was also a pleasure on a cold evening. Dinner started with appetizers, soup and a small salad with a killer light curry... More

Wandered to Vienna while on a business trip and absolutely Charming. The setting alone would make me come back. An old Victorian home off the town center in Southbridge MA with authentic Austrian fare with a bit of a New England twist. A small menu which ensures quality and a nice but limited wine and beer selection. A very homey... More

Had dinner with a friend at Vienna restaurant because of the reviews in TripAdvisor. So glad we did. I am not that familiar with german food but decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself is lovely, a very historic and gracious dining room, the waitstaff very helpful and friendly. I thought german food would be heavy and greasy,... More

We didn't have a reservation for this particular Saturday evening but they accommodated us just the same. We had a short wait in a charming siting room. We were seated at a small table by a window which I found a bit drafty and the heat wasn't on but we did fine. The restaurant was very busy and we did... More

The Vienna lives up to its name in cuisine and quality. I had dinner there during my stay ,a real luxury since I could walk downstairs to a fine meal without driving anywhere. The dining room was very atmospheric with paintings and antiques and a fire was burning. My crepe was delicious and made to order. They had a good... More

First, our only complaint: the lighting from the chandelier was too bright. The room would have felt more intimate if it could have been turned down. On a night when the staff was stretched to their limits by an unexpectedly large number of patrons, the service was great and the food was outstanding. Even the salad dressing was sensational. Our...
