This is a reliably good place for dinner, but I had not been for brunch. It turns out that brunch is definitely a sweet spot: excellent buffet, delicious steak and eggs, and even better "non-traditional" eggs benedict. The Bloody Mary is also top-shelf. Definitely worth stopping in for brunch – or dinner.

Five old friends shared simple plates, good drafts, vermentino, and 3 hours in the wayback of this long narrow gastro-pub. Friday at 6 full and loud. Low-key waiter grins conspirationally, repeats "That sounds like a plan" and pays attention to special orders. Rectangular clam pizza had bacon, potato, and white cheese -- good. Scallops entree came in an odd (tamarind?)... More

We stayed in West Cambridge for 2 days while our house had work done. We were looking for a nice restaurant nearby. My husband and teenage daughter and I wanted a casual restaurant with meat and fish options. It was very nice. My husband thought it was expensive as it was about $100 for the 3 of us. We shared... Nice classy calm relaxing bar. Tasty delicious bloody Maria's. Attentive bar service. Make sure you try the devils on horseback made from dates, bacon and balsamic cream. Yummy.

Foundry On Elm can be hit or miss, depending on your server and the time of day. But it's worth a visit to experience the Davis Square vibe, and to enjoy a few unique and tasty items. The 'Devils On Horseback' - feta-stuffed, bacon-wrapped dates - are usually good, as are the grilled Portobello sandwich and the truffle parmesan fries.... More

The Foundry has a good beer selection, and pretty good food. The problem is it never managed to figure out an identity for itself. It's not a neighborhood spot like Christopher's down the street, and it doesn't fill an interesting niche like it's sister restaurant Saloon nextdoor. The food isn't good enough to be a real attraction with the other... More

Had a 6 pm reservation; was seated quickly. The casual dining room filled quickly. Service was attentive; done with a sense of humor but professional. We had 6 in our party; all went away satisfied with their meals. Started out with two plates of calamari; which had a light batter and very tender. Grilled cheese and soup was surprising well... The food is good every once and a while. But the bouncer always act like their police officers. Beware if you've had more than one drink!

The salmon was very good, excellent tasty grilled cheese and yummy tomato soup, very good bolognese. Our server was very good, and we love the dimly lit bar atmosphere, an active bar scene, with a larger area for dining tables.

Visited for a casual evening dinner with friends. The location is easy right in the square. The place is casual and comfortable and not too loud so you could converse easily enough. Food was better than expected and the wait staff was patient. My friend pronounced the grill cheese sandwich the best ever. My Salmon dish was tasty and the... More
