After many visits to Sandwich we finally went to the Dunbar Tea House. What a delight! Although a little on the pricey end, the ambiance, service and food were all excellent. So sorry we didn't visit sooner. If you are looking for comfort food I have to suggest the turkey sandwich which is served with a generous side salad. Tea... More

The restaurant is beautiful inside and out, and it looked like a great place to stop for lunch. The food was only average. The sangria was so watered down, it was without taste. The salmon cakes were not as advertised, but did come with several accompaniments on the plate, such as baked beans which were good. However, everything was very... More

The atmosphere was lovely, the food was good, the service was excellent. The prices, especially for the afternoon tea was too high, at $19.99 for four little finger sandwiches, one little scone, four tiny cakes and a pot of tea. This was for one person. It was my son's birthday, and he wanted a tea, so I payed the price.... More

My husband and I stopped in on our way home from a day trip on the Cape. We arrived a little after 4:00pm, sat at the bar and enjoyed soup, cheese platter and wine/beer. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Our shrimp/corn chowder and turkey chowder was delicious and perfect on a cold and damp afternoon. The cheese platter... More

A friend raved about this place. I couldn't wait to check it out. Just moved to the area, it is located across the Grist Mill. Looks like the gardens would be wonderful in the Spring and Summer. My main issue was the service. It took us over 2 hours. I don't like to be rushed, but this was crazy. It... More

Oh the crepes! This great little place in sandwich village is just steps from the natural spring , glass museum and grist mill! The food is magnificent... we gobbled it up greedily! The scenery was pleasant and the outside seating was a huge plus!

Can't understand why people complained - mostly about service - Jeeze you are on vacation - lighten up. Our meal was served in a timely manner, food was very good and carrot cake was extraordinary.

Large slices of desserts - decor is a little old fashioned but good for visits with mom, girlfriends, etc.

After reading some recent less than favorable reviews, I was concerned that one of our favorite places on the Cape for lunch had perhaps seen better days. I was so pleased that the Windsor Tea luncheon was as wonderful as ever. The sandwiches were delicious - the curried chicken & salmon cucumber sandwiches are substantial enough for a man's appetite,... More

Two of us visited on a lovely sunny day for tea and lunch. Can sit inside near windows or patio tables. Décor is very nicely done. Teas are luscious; love the African Autumn and Rooibos with lemon. The Poughman's Lunch or the chicken salad with grapes, are great choice for lunch; but all you need is scones, jam and cream.... More
