Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Terrible service, I think they forgot we were there, probably because restaurant was empty other than 4 of us and another couple. Food is less than average although prices are thru the roof. NO value for money. We would not recommend, nor return there.

Not a place I would recommend. Staff were less than enthused, really not an inviting place. I think we had been seated 20 minutes before anyone came to take our orders. Then there was a long wait for the food, like we had been forgotten...as there were only 2 other tables inside, but beer garden was apparently busy. The food was less than average when it finally arrived and over priced. No atmosphere. Sorry guys but no returning for us and no positive comments.More

Dined for dinner as staying in the area for the weekend. I had the NT barramundi & it was tasty. Hubby had a chicken parma & enjoyed that also. Staff were very welcoming & friendly. Will definitely return & try other menu items if visiting...the area again.More

An impromptu lunch just delivered a perfect lunch experience. No culinary challenges for the chef as wife had a chicken parma whilst I had a chicken snitzel. Everything was spot on. Meals were great. Lovely little Chardonnay and floor staff were professional and friendly. I...would return again and again.More

Dropped in for lunch on the way home to St Leonards from Bendigo. There was a classic car event on in town and they were busy. The food was great, and the staff were exceptional. Very attentive, polite, and nothing was a problem. 10/10. Will...definitely go there again.More

The Guildford pub is a sweet and rare find. It is genuinely olde world with a very sociable U shaped bar. The staff are very friendly and drinks are quite reasonably priced. My Barramundi was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and juicy on the...inside with a hearty nicoise salad. All up a great visit.More

We stopped on a whim for lunch at this lovely pub. Friendly helpful service from the staff. We were very impressed with the chicken parmigiana which we ordered. Vegetables buttery and al dente, sauce was perfect, chips hot and tasty, and the chicken moist and...crispy. We complimented the chef, and were told that they hand prepare all the meals fresh, nothing is bought wholesale. And you can definitely taste the difference. Dog friendly too! Bowl of water provided for our two dogs. And a local pooch visited, “Banjo”, quite a character. He kept our dogs entertained, and us!More

Away from the madding crowd is this hotel in a quiet country town. Frequented by locals, it has a unique country feel and vibe. Surprisingly it also has a good selection of pub classics on the menu. Simple yet delicious fare served by a team...of friendly and attentive staff. My porterhouse was not only huge and cooked perfectly but also yummy too!More

Waited for two hours for our food. Waitress repeatedly told us she couldn’t give us an estimate of when our food would arrive. Others who arrived and ordered after us were served, ate and left. Two hours later we told the waitress that if we...didn’t receive our meals soon we would leave. The manager/owner turned up. I had not asked to speak to him. He clearly came to reprimand us for making a complaint. He was extremely rude and aggressive. He said the other tables were served first because they were small tables and we had a large table. Made no sense. Still couldn’t tell us when our food would arrive. His tone was awful. I told him I didn’t like his tone and he told me he is sorry I don’t like his tone. I told him that they took a booking for a large table which says they can accommodate this number of people so don’t understand the significant delay. He continued with his attitude. We were disgusted and left. I asked the waitress to cancel our order, she said yes and still charged our order to the remainder guests at our table. THEIR ATTITUDE AND SERVICE STINKS THEY DO NOT DESERVE THE BUSINESSMore

I met up with family for Friday night dinner. As often happens when family members living far from each other meet, numbers fluctuated during the day (between 4 and 8) as did arrival times (between 1830 and 1930 / 2000). No problem. We all enjoyed...our meals. They were happy to adapt meals to food sensitivities. Desserts were great! Drinks menu wasn't extensive but covered everything you would be likely to ask for. When we arrived and for our whole meal, everyone was so friendly. Definitely worth the trip from Perth.More

We had lunch in the beer garden with family on a lazy Sunday afternoon. It was refreshing to experience such friendly service in a relaxing setting. The food was served with a smile at our table under the shade of a grand old tree. I...had the chilli prawn spaghetti and the prawns were done to perfection. Others had the Parma , beer battered fish and the calamari. Servings were generous and reasonably priced. Excellent value for excellent pub food.More
