I love back door donuts. If you go I definitely recommend the apple fritters, they are out of this world. If your are on island, it's a must go.

I don't like the baked goods at Back Door Donuts. Lot's of reputation, but poor quality. This review is based on two visits to the bakery in early October. The chocolate donuts (the flavor that is the bellwether of a bakery's qualtity) were dry and flavorless. Eating it with eyes closed, one would not be able to identify it as... More

After a big dinner, then live music with drinks, we realized we were very close to Back Door Donuts at the right time. Went and got a few donuts including the HUGE Apple Fritter. They were very good and it was a fun experience.

If you're visiting the Vineyard, it's a one night experience for the family. The line is long, but you'll make new friends as you get closer to the aroma of fresh baked goods. Great choices, but I'm partial to the apple fritter. Get a batch and enjoy.

This is the place for apple fritters - huge and delicious. Other baked goods are great as well. You have to visit here at least once so you know what you're missing when you decide not go there for that back door donut at 8 pm.

One of our annual, multi-night stops and a must have for my kids! These are so good when warm and at the end of a night on the town. Go around 9:30-11:30 PM to avoid the long lines.

Came here for breakfast one morning while visiting the Vineyard. Delicious, inexpensive croissants filled with sausage and egg, and other with spinach and egg. The apple fritters are huge and tasty. The price can't be beat. And if you spend over $25 ($30?), you receive a free tote bag.

I don't know which I enjoyed the most...the donuts or meeting people from all over the country while waiting in line. Nobody seemed to mind that the line was long because we had a good time interacting with people in line. A MUST if you're in MV!

Hard to find but SO worth it! We read the reviews but were still surprised that it really is a back door location. We left room after dinner so we could stop at BDD for some goodies. Hubby got the apple fritter and I opted for the boston creme....heaven on earth! This is a must stop during a visit to... More
