I waited in line, while the woman behind the counter gabbed away w/ the person in front of me for 10 mins. Then when it was my turn the lady took the order of someone who just walked in who she knew, and already knew the guy was having the "usual" . I got a chicken cutlet sub and it... More

Nice little sub shop with a variety of sandwiches to choose from. Food is reasonably priced. Friendly staff.

I visited Bobs Sub stop for lunch and ordered a vegetarian sub. It was a good lunch, and I really would have been much happier had they toasted the subs or had a bit more variety in their veggies / cheeses. They have two items that simply cannot be found in Newton, certainly not at these prices and/or this quality: crepes and homemade potato chips. I am eating altogether too many of each. They also have terrific chili. It's my favorite place around even though I have never sampled the subs.

Been there a few times but had the salami sub every time. It's fine for a local sub shop.

Decent sub prices. I had chicken cordon bleu. It had a breaded chicken cutlet, deli ham, and russian dressing on a white bread sub. Weird combination that didn't actually taste as bad as it sounds.

It's a nice old fashioned sub restaurant. The main problem with Bob's is that they don't toast their subs. It is 2007, get with the program.
