We used to order take-out almost weekly from Bollywood Cafe, until about 2 years ago when a combination of our changing tastes and a seeming drop in consistency/quality of food ... along with the ability to leave our kids home 'without' a babysitter and enjoy adult time out ... saw us venturing out to restaurants instead of ordering take-out. Looking... More
I stopped at the Bollywood Café and decided to get take out. I told the young lady behind the counter that I had never had Indian food before. I chose a Mango Chicken dish and asked for it to be prepared with mild spice. My order took about 15 minutes to be prepared but it was worth the wait. I... More
We are local residents who sometimes eat at Bollywood but more often use it for take-out. It is one of the restaurants that we patronize regularly. We think it's very good Indian food at a reasonable price. We have ordered nearly everything on the menu at one time or another and have never been disappointed.
Great authentic Indian food. They deliver and you don't have to wait to long. The food always arrives hot and the portions are generous.
This is a small place in Lexington Massachusetts. I don't think reservations are required. It's been in business for over 10 years now and every time I've eaten there I really enjoyed it. I often did take out because I lived up the street. Recommended.
Service was very poor. While we were waiting at the table take-outs were getting preference. The vegetable pakoras tasted like old, reused oil. Several of the dishes including Biriyanis seem made with ready made powder. Even the rice used was not quality Basmati. Only consolation was Goan Fish Curry - somewhat OK. All dishes, too pricey for the quantity/quality.
after a long time, i got taste some real indian taste. This little resturant serves the best indian food i have ever tried.
The food was ok tasting! Not bad at all but definitely pricey for that kind of food. It didn't taste like restaurant food at all...the ambience is not so good either. Would have one back if it was cheaper!
I find the food ordinary, and rarely exceeds expectations. I have tried a variety of the currys, and some vegetarian dishes. Never awful, but rarely great.
