My daughter and I had dinner here and loved every bite. The French onion soup was delicious. The main courses we had - filet mignon for me and seafood medley for my daughter - were melt in your mouth tasty...served with steamed broccoli and a...baked potato. Bread was served warm with our field green salads. And for dessert I had the chocolate mousse while my daughter enjoyed the warm brownie sundae with salted caramel ice cream. All the portions were just the right size (I really don't like the super-sized portions that some restaurants routinely serve). Tables spaced sufficiently far apart in this time of COVID. Dining room has a beautiful fireplace burning on this cold winter evening. Will definitely return for our next visit to the Berkshires!More

I officially am giving up on the Cork N’Hearth. Once an excellent place, now it is simply bad, over priced, and staff argue with you. We were in a group and the staff kept “grumping” at us as we needed multiple tables—-yes, the restaurant was...aware we were coming as a face to face meeting with the manager was held a couple of weeks back to work out the details etc.. Yet the staff treated us as if we were disrupting the restaurant. Ready for this........The waitress took my order -a soup and lobster ravioli (which was an appetizer). She said, in a very stern scolding voice, that I needed to order an entree if I wanted to stay at the table! I asked where this was written and she said “nowhere, it’s a rule”. So I ordered a salad and said this was a three course meal. I’ve never been in a restaurant that “required” customers to purchase certain types of foods and this NEVER was the case in my previous visits to the Cork N Hearth. Price wise, yikes. Again, a glass of house wine, a cup (not a bowl) soup, a side salad, and the lobster ravioli appetizer totaled around $44! Folks, there are many people who swear by the Cork N’ Hearth and I certainly will not question their experiences. For me, I know there are some really good options in the Berkshires where you are treated nicely and not hurried by staff through a meal. My last visit there I was told I couldn’t sit at the bar unless I had a reservation even though all the seats were vacant. Maybe Cork N’ Hearth should print ALL their unwritten rules and post them on doors and include them in the menu. Too bad as the views of the lake at sunset are nice but the picturesque views are not work the meal experience.More

Good meal but especially liked the bar. Filled with locals who all knew each other. Live music by Bruce Mandel who was great. Bartender was friendly and made great drinks.

How the Cork ‘N Hearth has so many positive reviews is beyond me. A friend and I dined here on the recommendation of another friend. Normally, she has really great taste in food. Not sure what happened here. We’ll start with the decor and ambience....I’m sure it was fine in the 1960s. But, I don’t think it has been updated since then. The view of the lake was nice. The best part of the meal were the rolls. The salad was a small collection of mixed greens, some grated carrots, and a single grape tomato. My friend had the crab cakes. She described them as “cakes of breadcrumbs sprinkled with crab juice that tasted like it came from a can.” She thought they tasted off and sent them back. In fairness to the waitress, the waitress knew something was off as soon as my friend took the first bite and asked her about her meal. They were replaced by a order of edible, yet mushy and salty, mushroom ravioli. I had the chicken almondine. I’m not sure where the almonds came in. I ate it because it was food and I was hungry. Both dinners were accompanied by potatoes and a wedge of zucchini. The potatoes resembled baked potatoes, but I don’t think they were baked. Certainly, not in an oven. They were quite possibly microwaved. Normally, I look forward to the skin on a baked potato. This I simply peeled away. I didn’t even finish the potato. Neither butter nor sour cream could help it. Overall, the experience was disappointing. My friend and I both appreciate a good meal and were looking forward to enjoying dinner with a view. I can safely say we won’t return.More

I had dinner with friends on August 3, 2019. This was my second visit to this excellent restaurant. I enjoyed the special Crab Soup (delicious) and Roasted Duckling. Friends enjoyed the Wild Mushroom Ravioli (I can't believe Jan ate that whole portion) and Pan Roasted...Seafood Medley which they loved. We shared a Blueberry Crisp for dessert (yummy!). I will certainly come back.More

In Lenox with friends for a short visit, we inquired about different places to have a casual dinner. Since it was the busy season many restaurants were booked and reservations hard to obtain. However, after a call to Cork and Hearth, Kay (son of the...owner) saved some seats at the bar for us and, subsequently, we had a delightful time visiting with the owners and other locals. Friendliness seemed to be at the top of the menu. If we ever have a chance to return to the Lenox/Lee area we will certainly revisit Cork and Hearth. By the way, food was great, including bacon-wrapped scallops, crab-stuffed mushrooms and a variety of other appetizers and main courses.More

Restaurant has been around for many years. Ask to be seated with the Laurel lake view. Reservation required. Pleasant wait staff. Extensive menu for all desires. Try their prime ribs or seafood dishes.
