Crowded but prompt service - almost always a line. But the clams are very good. This is my second favorite place for clams in the area. If the Box were anywhere else, I think it would be the best.

I used to go to the Clam Box when I was a kid and through age 25, which is when I left Massachusetts. This past weekend Feb 2017 I took the wife and one of my daughters there on an impromptu trip. The food was as glorious as it always was. Perfectly fried seafood is no easy task. I ordered... More

This place is a must visit. My father who is 92 remembers this place when he lived in Middleton Ma. We all went and ate all fried foods. Everything was excellent. What can I say HUGE fishermans platter can easily be split with 2 people. Then again I am not a fan of buffets. I can not eat enough to... More

Absolutely the best clam strips on the East Coast! The place was buzzing and the orders kept flowing! Fantastic service, fresh tasting fried food (zero oil taste), small dining room so send someone to watch for a table while you order... but nothing would keep me from this place!

I've always enjoyed the Clam Box, but when I visited this past summer I was disappointed. I split the Fisherman's Platter with my father. In the past we've had enough to take the leftovers home with us, but this time it seemed overpriced for the amount and quality we received. As a lifelong resident and seafood fanatic, of course I'll... More

A pre 70th Birthday request for one of their - best anywhere - clam rolls. They never disappoint. I had the fried haddock plate (not a fried clam fan), and it was very, very good. It is self serve so I gave service as average. Pick an off time (lunch at 2:30P for example) and week day to avoid what... More

We so enjoy our trips along the coast, and a stop at the Clam Box is always a highlight. No grease, just yum!
