I had heard rumors that the seafood here was pretty good, but as a fan of Woodman's up in Essex I can be a bit of a snob. Decided to swing by for lunch. So I tried a small order of clam strips, not willing to chance a bad bunch of whole bellies on the first try, and they were... More

The seafood is very fresh, lightly battered and delicious but they need to salt it once out of the fryer. The Ice Cream is very good but the frappes (milkshakes to you non New Englanders) should be thicker. They have great onion rings thinly sliced with a light batter (again salt when removing from fryer) The best value is to... More

We live in the area and go there for ice cream, and also for fried clams. Their clams are good but expensive, however, there aren't many nearby alternatives. Until today, we've been ok with the prices, since they gave a very good sized portion. This evening we ordered a "medium" container of just clams, that was priced at $27.80. In... More

So fun to go here. Yummy, really yummy food with surprising choices such as healthy salads and sandwiches. The food seems like really good quality. And of course...fantastic ice cream.

A good variety of flavors altho they don't make my favorite "Cherry Joy" anymore. Their soft serve and frozen yogurt are good too. They also have good dinners to take home.

big prices, big food. Portions are very big, enough to split. Quality of ingredients defines the price point, so if you are expecting this summer shack to be a hot dog stand priced joint - forget it. Manager and Head Chef Mike takes pride in his food and shack, keeps it really clean, kitchen is clean and everything is cooked... More

Not only is Dairy Joy way overpriced but their management needs to learn the First Amendment right of free speech. I dared to complain on DJ's Facebook page that their claims of lower prices and a new dining room were false and they not only deleted my post (along with many others echoing my comments) but also removed me as... Visited Dairy Joy last week and sorry to say was greatly disappointed by their pricing. Before opening this spring, the sign outside said New Menu, New Prices. Well, the price was sure "new' to me... Ordered an Extra Thick Frappe" - price was $6.00 for a not so thick one. From now on I'll stick with Friendly's in Sudbury where... More

Dairy Joy is a glorified ice cream stand. Although they have indoor seating for dining, you must order at the outside window. They do have a large fried and broiled seafood menu as well as grill items and sandwiches. Sodas are vastly overpriced. My broiled scallop "dinner" was just the scallops, but I could add sides for $1.00 each. When... More

Food...it's actually not bad. Typical fair for a roadside ice cream place around here. Fried seafood, burgers and dogs. I've tried most of it (not the lobster roll) over the years but I can't get passed the prices. VERY OVERPRICED seafood and the value just isn't there for me. Too bad because this place could really do some business if... More
