My wife and I were in town for the weekend. Wanted to try someplace different to eat that had a varied menu. We got there and there was about a 20 minute wait. Not too bad for a Friday night. Once we were seated our server came over for drink orders. They had a good selection of wines as well... More

Fun little bar. OK food reasonably priced. Good downtown location. Cash or check only but onsite free ATM.

I would've given this place closer to five stars but the staff was lacking. The food was very good, everyone in our party tried different seafood and it was all excellent. We had to wait about 30 mins for a table so we tried to get drinks at the little bar, but were told we could only get beer or... More

my wife and I love to go there. We often sit at the bar and eat. That gives us the opportunity to meet new people. My wife loves their clam chowder [says it is the best!] I love the zucchini fries with steak tips. They do not take credit cards, but have a no fee atm in the restaurant. The... More

If you like commingling with baseball fans, this is your place. We visit the Hot Stove Saloon every year, and each time I order the fish sandwich. So good! I must say I like sitting in the original two rooms instead of the expansion room. The character and mood are superior there. This is a cash only restaurant. That used... More

Horrible service but delicious food. They set food on the table without ever asking if we needed more to drink or anything else. Felt they were very rude.

I had heard from a friend that this was a great restaurant so decided to give it a try while on vacation. We went for an early dinner so were seated right away. Our waiter was friendly. Unfortunately the food wasn't very good. I got the bake scrod. The piece was small and over cooked. The steamed broccoli was cold... More

I ate at The Hot Stove tonight and was surprisingly pleased with my meal. I had eaten there before a few years ago, but did not remember their menu. It had a wider variety than I remember and I found myself ordering more than I could eat, simply because everything sounded so good. My boyfriend and I shared chicken quesadillas... More

Yes, we went to the Hot Stove on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and we were back on Monday for lunch again! Both days we sat at the bar, 6-8 of us, and really enjoyed ourselves. Our bar tenders were friendly and fun, the food was DELICIOUS!
