We had baked haddock, baked seafood, and a Greek salad with grilled scallops. All was very fresh, and portions are huge! We could barely finish. The Causeway is always busy, and is popular with locals and tourists, but worth the wait.

Food quality is terrific. Quantities huge. Casual diner-ish atmosphere, tables turn pretty quick but staff and guests very friendly.

This place was recommended by a friend in Florida (of all places). What a great find! We both started with a cup of chowder, which would be considered a large bowl in other restaurants! I was the best chowder, by far, over the several other...More

On a Wednesday evening school night, the place was packed - which tells you all you need to know. Forewarned, we ordered one starter and one main course to share. The scallops wrapped in bacon were wonderful, and a sensible portion for 2 people. The...More

Establishment is not a fancy affair. The food is the point here. I love the fare served unpretentiously. Only fresh ingredients show up no matter what is ordered. Best clam chowda I have had up to now. Highly recommended.

You can get non-seafood dishes at this small, usually-packed restaurant across from a boat yard (most parking is in the rear), but we stuck to seafood... Pete’s platter (of seafood, calamari, clams, shrimps, scallops), and fried oysters. Yum! Coleslaw was OK. Get here shortly after it...More

The parking lot tells it all - people aren't swarming here for the building, so they must be here for great food. We were lucky to arrive during a slow time, so we were seated and served quickly. It was challenging to select from the...More

My wife, son and I stopped here based on the outstanding TripAdvisor reviews. Actually, we drove past it on our first try because it's so unassuming we couldn't believe this was actually the place. But it was, and it was just as simple and no-frills...More

First of all, expect to take home leftovers - unless you have a huge appetite or are sharing! Portions are huge but the taste is even better!! Everything from fried clams and scallops, to scampi to the best clam chowder ever, is Fabulous! It’s a...More

We went here on the recommendation of a friend and it didn't disappoint. The seafood was excellent. I had the stuffed lobster, stuffed being an understatement. There were more scallops and shrimp in the stuffing than most places serve as an entree and all cooked...More

Don't know.. lobster is always "Market Priced". Call The Causeway at 978-281-5256 before you go and ask the price.

I normally go between 11 and 11:30. Much later than that and you need to be prepared to wait.
