We had dinner and had the lobster ravioli and the stuffed haddock with hollandaise sauce. The lobster ravioli portion was quite stingy– especially for the price. Both the lobster ravioli and the stuffed haddock were good. Overall it was a pleasant dinner, but considering the...More

Ate 3 meals here with all of them being great. The service, and friendly staff were the best. It happens to be close to the harbor and whale watching boat which is an added attraction. We would eat there again.

Wife picked this place for her birthday, wanted a atable with a view. They have 2 sections, 1 inside and 1 kind of outside. Inside is better place to eat, we sat outside with nothing fancy dining and where parents go with their kids to...More

We enjoyed a late lunch here in June and it was fascinating to watch the workings of a real fishing town while enjoying fresh seafood. Great service, great food and a very nice interior.

As a former commercial fisherman, I can tell you the fish is fresh. The Gloucester House has been around for many years and they continue to change with the times. They now offer a nice wine list with prices that do not break the bank....More

This is an established business since Gloucester existed! There's a good reason why. The Lobster Rolls are just the best I've ever had...anywhere. The drinks at the bar are can't be beat either. The bartenders are fabulous. The locals love it...that says it all, doesn't...More

Service was excellent. Atmosphere good. Food was average. Not very many "healthy" options...but then again, who wants to eat healthy on vacation! Ordered mussels - which were very good. My husband ordered clam strips and fries..

My wife and I ordered the same dish sole with lemon sauce, it was fresh and delicious, and I am so glad I used Travel Advisor to check this place out. By the way, our waitress was excellent, great service.

I would like to feed an anniversary group of 20 people on a Wednesday evening in August. Do you take reservations? And would you have a separate room or area for such a group? Also do you have gluten-free options? Thank you,

The Gloucester House restaurant is renowned for its local lobster dishes and for the freshest North Atlantic seafood, prepared to perfection. Having been among the first to popularize fried calamari, our specialties range from award-winning clam chowder to homemade bread and cornbread, from Dottie's bourbon cake to Lily's wine list, and from Sambuca mussels to blackened haddock tacos to a fried fisherman's reuben sandwich. We always cook to order and have gluten free and vegetarian menus available, as well as children's meals. Dine full-service on our outdoor, dockside deck or eat lobsters in-the-rough on our harbor side wharf. Located on historic Seven Seas Wharf, there's something for everyone here: shop for souvenirs and local art at our General Store gift shop, enjoy a sail on the Schooner Thomas E. Lannon, or see the whales aboard Seven Seas Whale Watch. Whatever your fancy may be, the Linquata family invites you to join us year-round for a true taste of New England.
