A friend and I travel here once a year, but yesterday's experience may have us finding a new place. To start, our Bloody Mary's we're not drinkable. Way too spicy, wrong mix ratio or something. We added ice and kept trying, but they sat before us - untouched throughout the meal. Our server never asked us if there was an... More

I was hesitant to order the Lobster mac & cheese because I had just had that at another restaurant in Boston just two days before. I'm so glad I ordered it anyway, it was so much better. It was the best I've ever had! My daughter had the haddock and loved it. We also had the fried green bean appetizer,... More

I have eaten here many times, this past trip the restaurant had a new name. The fish was fresh as always, my son had some egg hash dish which he really liked. We sat by the window even though it was a cold grey Sunday in January. Service was good as well.

The restaurant is now called Shea's. We went on a Monday evening. The dining room was about 1/2 full. They did have fireplaces going and if you like sitting next to the fire request a table near the fire or the back of the restaurant over looks the Essex river. We generally like to order appetizers only, so we can... More

12 of us went to Shea's for Thanksgiving dinner. One never really knows how a restaurant is going to handle holiday reservations, but this place got it right. Our table was ready when we arrived, we never felt rushed, the service was terrific, the food great, the dining room was nicely decorated. Even though it was busy, we never felt... More

Years ago, this was a great place for dinner. It's showing its age. Food so-so. For the price, can get a better meal elsewhere in the area.

Very good restaurant with lovely view. This is a good choice if some in your party are not seafood lovers; the menu includes burgers, chicken, and salads. The service was great and the view is beautiful.

Took our family (10 of us) to Sheas to celebrate my our parents 60th wedding anniversary. Got there early, 5-ish, on a Saturday and was seated right away. We had a long table so conversation was difficult After we were seated our Server (Janet) showed up 5-10 minutes later. She never introduced herself, appeared stressed out, and felt a bit... More
