The Midway is like taking a Time Machine to the 50's/early 60's - perhaps Las Vegas before it was discovered. It is a classic, original joint. Naugahyde swivel seats, a wrap-around bar and an assortment of locals all enjoying good cookin' at very old-fashioned prices. The menu has some surprises--some really elaborate dishes that would rival any fancy restaurant.

Food, great. Drinks, great. Customers, great. And staff, you guessed it, great. This is a place where you can talk to your neighbor, or the lesson across the bar without having to yell. Always something interesting to order. Most nights have some type of entertainment. A pleasant atmosphere for all.

The restaurant is just like the picture shows. Been in the family for over 70 years. Owner tries hard to make it a place where you will want to eat. She is successful in our opinion. Highly recommend.

and yet we had never gone, but noticed that "Trivia Guru" Morgan White Junior entertains there on Tuesdays so we went last night. As mentioned in other reviews, it's mostly a bar, but there are many booths and tables as well. We shared the calimari app (very good and large portion) and my wife had a salad with grilled chicken,... More

I've driven by this restaurant many times and finally decided to stop for dinner with my wife. Upon entering is a massive bar covering the interior of the restaurant with booths on the outside. Decor is old and looks like it has not been touched for years. My wife had the baked stuff shrimp while I ate steak tips. Both... More

The Midway is a great family restaurant and a great local sit and relax bar. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, with very reasonable prices, and the staff is always friendly.

We used to eat at the Midway years ago, when it was at a different location- so we decided to try again- Servers were really more interested in watching TV- than taking care of their tables- We waited a long time for our soup and before we were able to finish our soup- the entrée arrived. I really enjoyed mu... More

Preferring not to eat in a chain restaurant (help the small businesses we say!) we drove away from our restaurant and saw this place from the road. Parking lot was full so that is always a good sign. Building is long (ranch house style) with no windows. . Went in and the place was packed. It was like taking a... More
