We love stopping here and seeing the boats unload their day's catch, checking out the seals feeding on the leftovers and the amazing smells... Okay, maybe not that last part. After all, this is a working fish pier. The bay is absolutely gorgeous and I've taken many beautiful photos here over the years. There is always another visitor that helps... More

Recommended by locals as a great stop for seal sightings! The seals follow the fishing boats returning with their catch of the day. Great balcony over the water to stand and watch for seals. Perfect free entertainment for kids of all ages :) Restaurant on the side, plenty of parking.

Loved having fish and chips and a clam belly sandwich. We ordered and sat on the pier eating and watching the sea, seals and boats. Truly spectactular. Do this!

Go there and buy a lobster role. You will not regret it! The roles are made of freshly captured lobsters and you are able to see them and also buy fresh ones.

The market itself is disappointing. I would have thought the prices would be lower and the selection would be larger. It is a tiny market with nothing particularly interesting or unique to offer.

You can come to the pier to watch the local fishermen bring in their catch and package it. The kids were fascinated with the process and didn't want to leave. Beautiful view with a ton of seals swimming by.

While I am allergic to Shell Fish, thankfully it is my wife's favourite and we had to make the trip to the Pier to sample what is reported to be some of the best and freshest seafood on the Cape. Well in this case I will defer to my better half and say that it was well worth the trip... More

I told my husband that while we were in cape cod I wanted fresh fried clams. It was my first time in cape cod, he had been there a couple years ago. Well, he took me to Chatham fish market and my fried clams were incredible!!!! So fresh, tender! And the onion rings were wonderful also!!! While we ate we... More

Where else can you get Fresh Fish cooked to your liking as fresh as this.. IF its Not at a Pier you will have to do the fishing your self... We went to the pier to watch the seals get a free meal as the local Fisher man unload their days catch. We enjoyed the Clam Chowder Tasty and Plentiful,... More

Every year when we travel to Chatham, I want to stop for the lobster roll, as it was claimed as the best around Massachusetts and Maine and the pier is about a mile from where we stay, we made the trip this year, menu says market price for the lobster roll, last year I had a roll at Chatham Bars...
