This is one of our regular places to eat. Susan and Bob do a great job making you feel like one of the family. We decided to go last Wednesday last minute. Not only did Julie take exceptional care of us' (the cosmos were awesome)every part of the meal was stellar! It was a FANTASTIC way to end the day!

We stopped in at The Barnstable Restaurant & Tavern for lunch as we received a gift certificate from a friend. Boy are we glad we did!! It is a very nice place with reasonable prices and a great menu-whether for lunch or dinner. They have children's menu and pizza also. The clam chowder is the best we've had anywhere. It has... More

My family went for Christmas Dinner. In addition to the regular menu, there was a wide variety to choose from on their Three Course dinner menu...and the portions were very generous including the wide selection of desserts. The waiter couldn't have been more friendly and attentive, and the support staff attended to all of our needs, which included accommodated seating... More

I brought a motor coach with 28 last Friday evening. What a pleasant evening! From the friendly greeting, the warm atmosphere and attentive servers, we couldn't have asked for more! Food was 'out of this world' delicious. We especially commented on the Yukon Gold mashed potatoes which were outstanding! Try them if you dine there. It was a wonderful, relaxed... More

We were greeted warmly by the hostess and guided to a nice table so five of us could have lunch. The server (Josh) was personable and friendly. He also knew the menu. One ordered a burger, nothing fancy, just a burger. He asked for it medium rare and it came just as ordered and was quite good. My wife and... More

This very popular restaurant is fully booked on holidays. Hostess met us with stacks of papers on her dais. Servers and helpers darted in and out with updates on status of tables while unseated diners stood by. A frozen cocktail was delivered with the ingredients not having been in the blender. Turkey was not carved from a freshly roasted bird.... More

Went there on a recommendation of friends and were so glad. Slow night, ( football night) but everything was professional and food was tremendous. Fruits of the sea, scallop dish and glutton free sole. All great. First time, won't be the last.

food was good but our waitress made disapproving faces when we asked question one of our group wanted red wine by the glass, our server suggested a white when she said no I'd like a red wine the waitress again made a face indicating her irritation with her then when we asked to have separate checks (2 on 1 the... The wine dinners at the tavern are always a treat. Chef Bob and his talented staff go above and beyond in matching food pairings with the wines of the evening. Susan pulls the front of the house together and it all comes off with flair. The price is right for the dinners and you never leave without being happy!
