My wife and I had dinner at this pub mid week. Good vast menu to choose from as was the wine list. It wasn't very busy and I had the roast of the day. Half the meat was luke warm, whilst the rest was hot....Vegies were similar. Not too sure how this could happen. Not an enjoyable meal I am afraid. But we will give it another try.More

Had the best porterhouse steak meal in a pub for a long time. The 400g, medium rare, was more than I could manage but it was cooked to perfection. Can’t recommend it highly enough. If you enjoy a steak it is well worth dropping in...here. Pretty surrounding areas and a nice drive from Hobart.More

Went to the Tavern with a group of friends who are all on a golf trip the Tavern is basic but the food is excellent and leaves you full ! Staff friendly and the chef even dropped some of us home there is no public...transportation in Lewisham so it’s walking all the way if you have been having a drink. Anyway had the fried scallops sensational followed by Chicken oso bocco superb have to say a local gem with a view to die for.More

If I’m honest, we were cautious about this tavern because of the reviews but we decided to give it a go regardless. It was the last night of our honeymoon and we were craving seafood so we got one of each of the seafood platters....We weren’t expecting much but every single thing on both platters was amazingly fresh. They didn’t last long and we left in a seafood coma. We loved the country pub vibe and we could have enjoyed that view for hours. Very happy we decided to stop here.More

The Chicken Bosco was tough and there was too much creamy sauce. The mushrooms and bacon saturated in cream. The vegetables were nice. My sons beef snitzel was overcooked and tough. Even the prawns were over cooked. Over priced for the quality of meals. The...customer service made up for the meals but I wouldn't return.More

Very disappointed. Service was poor. Menu was poor. Food was poor. When a supervisor came across to ask as we Finished, I told her, but she just shrugged her shoulders as if to say, o well! If you not a local bogan, don't go there!

Dropped in for lunch with Sandi and some friends. The views here are lovely over the river, and the food is terrific to match. I had a wonderful seafood platter, which for $30 was up with the best I've ever had. The place is actually...called "The Lewisham Tavern" and finding the entry for this establishment on TripAdvisor is not straightforward. Perhaps the site's editors could rectify the situation, especially as this is such a well-known, well-loved and iconic pub and eatery. Cheers!More

Amazing seafood platter for two. Very filling and good variety. Awesome location. Wouldn't hurt the bar staff to smile once in a while though.

Very popular with locals, nice range of medium priced meals, the fisherman's basket is "not out of a packet" and is delicious. Fabulous spot to take in the water views.
