The food and the staff are excellent. I would highly recommend the pork chop and their French fries are awesome.

This is our fourth visit to Mountain Branch. In contrast to our dissatisfying third visit (previously reviewed on tripadvisor), and similar to our first and second visits, the service and food were exceptional. The cream of crab and French onion soups were delicious and very satisfying. Our entrees were the grilled salmon and the blackened chicken penne. We enjoyed both... More
Had a great lunch and then continued in the bar to celebrate our friends wedding. Margaret served us our delicious lunch and the food was fantastic. Drinks for the happy hour were very reasonable. Just a great day in a warm and friendly restaurant.
Thank you for a great review, I will be sure Margaret sees it! More
My wife and I enjoyed supper with colleagues from our local recreation council. We ordered a cheese plate, calamari, and pulled pork nachos for appetizers. All were delicious. My wife ordered shrimp and grits and ate it all since it was delicious and the right amount. I ordered a filet mignon with crab cake along with broccolini. The crab cake... More
Hi Eric, Thank you for taking the time to write such a great review, hope to see you back soon! More
Went for lunch on a Sunday at 1pm in the Pub with my wife. Needless to say, the meal was awful and this will be our first and final visit to this establishment. Started with Bloody Mary's - little to no alcohol that we could taste. Then we each had a cup of the Cream of Crab soup. The soup... More
On our third visit to the Grille & Pub at Mountain Branch, the ambiance and service were very good as usual, but the quality of the food served did not come close to that experienced during our first two visits. The cream of crab soup ordered by three of the five people in our party did not have any crab... More
Hi John, Thank you for taking the time to review our business although it was not what I wanted to hear of course. I see from your first two reviews as you said you rated us very highly. Let me address the soup first, it is never frozen ever and usually full of lump crab. I do not say this... More
One of my favorite restaurants now has a new menu, many foods I enjoyed are no longer available, no choices of sides are given. You are dictated what sides you get according to the chefs preferences not your own taste. Desert is included and most people in our party welcomed it because they were still hungry, some dinner choices were... More
I am sorry to hear you were disappointed with the new menu, we did keep many of our favorites. You mention dessert being included, so you are referring to our $25 three course menu. We feel it is an excellent value in addition to the full menu which is extensive. I always welcome feedback as it helps us make the... More
This is pretty much the only restaurant that served Sunday buffet brunch around that area. I was there at 11:30 and there was already a long line for food. The line was consistently long and the food was average the best. The best part was the omelette and craving stations which they served beef tenderloin. Unfortunately, they ran out of... More
Typical golf grill type of place with good test matches - ok for sandwiches and burgers but not much else. Service is pretty slow and erratic. Can be very noisy and crowded in bar area so if want quiet meal eat in dining room.
Delicious shrimp salad sandwich, very fresh with a bit of hard boiled egg and finely chopped celery (just like I want it). Served on a soft brioche roll. It came with a side salad that was also excellent. The herb vinaigrette dressing was restaurant made, slightly tangy, not too much. The mandarin crush was big and perfectly made. An excellent... More
