I was very hungry after the FLW bass fishing tournament on the Potomac River and decided that George's was the place I could fill my appetite. I had no idea! The restaurant itself has a cozy, rustic feel to it but it was pretty quiet...More
The place is popular and certain items sell out quick on the weekends. Prices are reasonable but you are getting what you pay for. The food is of a cheap quality. I'd rather just pay a little more and go some where like Texas Roadhouse.

After unloading the 20 foot Uhaul at my son's and daughter-in-law's new place, we needed food ... good food. Indian Head doesn't have a lot to offer in town, but it doesn't have to. George's is all you need. The smoked flavor was all through...More

Great place for food, whether eating in or taking home. Food is well-seasoned, reasonably priced and conveniently accessible to traffic. There are options on how spicy you want the sauce to be. The fried fish is also an excellent value.
Favorite of the locals, great BBQ ribs, pulled sandwiches, and BBQ chicken. If heading down 301, it's worth the 20 minute detour to Indian Head for the BBQ. Slaw good too, onion rings homemade. Closed Mon and Tues, open other days 1100 until sold out.
