The Trolley Stop is located within walking distance of the main street in Historic Ellicott City. We stopped in for lunch in between shopping. The restaurant is in a old tavern which I thought would be cool, but kind of ended up-just looking old. The staff were nice, but most of the customers are locals-nice, but I almost felt like... This restaurant is like a diner in a fabulous historic building. It has a strong group of regulars for the bar and restaurant, but also is a great place for tourists to stop in. The food is good, the pictures and decorations are a trip into history. This isn't a pretentious place, it's a "Welcome to Ellicott City and it's... More

I had never eaten here and am always delighted to try a new place for a meal. The food came quickly and was very good. My breakfast sandwich had so much bacon it was overflowing! My friend asked if J would come back and we agreed we'd like to try their lunch menu. I would go back for breakfast if... More

Located right near the Trolley Trail, the fun restaurant is back after the floods in full force. We were there New Year's Eve day for lunch - 4 adults and 2 young children. The place was packed (we had thought ahead and made a reservation) but they were moving satisfied folks in and out at a remarkable pace. We had... More

This restaurant is housed in a a very old building, that had to be restored due to flooding. They did a good job of making it seem antique, using old bricks and beams. We were there at 12, and got the breakfast menu. Food was good...I really liked my blueberry pancakes, and son liked the egg sandwich, while my husband... More

A friend and I had breakfast here before walking a stretch of the Trolley Trail. I had the Greek Omelet and my friend had the Wisconsin Omelet. The food was fabulous however the coffee was less than adequate. To the Manager : Please spend a little extra and buy a better grade of coffee.

Stopped here for lunch after a hike with a group of people. After hearing about the awful flooding just a few months ago I was glad to see the place apparently thriving. The lunch menu had extensive sandwich options, as well as soups and salads. I had the Trolley #9 sandwich--smoked turkey and swiss. They were generous with the ingredients... More

The only place that was open in EC past Saturday. Lots of rednecks amongst diners and bikers at the bar. Average food. Girl who sat us down was cheerful, the old haggard lady who served us needs a change in occupation

My friends from my sister's church weren't kidding when they assured me and my sister that Trolley Stop Restaurant not only served great food but sizeable portions as well. A group of about nine of us went there one Saturday evening after Mass. The first floor was packed with patrons, so we were seated on the quieter second-floor level. Every... More

Sunday night, looking for a place to feed my family. My kids are college age and I thought we should try the trolley stop. I was pleasantly surprised. Not too crowded, but by no means dead. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the food was great. Huge portions. My turkey reuben was perfect and everyone else was happy too. Prices were... More
