This is a great place to go if you're looking for a relaxed meal. The food is delicious and we enjoyed the attentive service of our waitress. It's definitely a place to check out if you're in the area. There are also some great shops to check out to walk off your yummy meal.

We stopped for a Valentines Day cocktail in this local establishment called the HOLE IN THE WALL. There literally was a hole in the wall. Someone needs to fix that. But the bartenders are fabulous and always keep us coming back. Cozy, warm, and romantic atmosphere for a glass of wine and the best puff pastry brie around.

We visited Chesapeake City on Saturday and were greatly pleased with the lunch at The Bayard House Restaurant. Magnificent waterfront view of the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal. Delicious lunch with excellent service. The waitresses are so knowledgeable in the history of the area. A wonderful setting. Highly recommended !

Nice window food, soup was ok but the crab cake was terrible. It tasted like one you would buy in the freezer section.

Took my department heads here over holiday... Service was great as was food price was $35 per head for meal, of course work related no drinks included... give us lower deck, to our selfs which was great for Christmas exchange with private view of water at no charge... I believe they charge for parties in this area during the week... More

The view is amazing. The atmosphere inside is cozy, with a log burning fireplace on a cold winter day. The crab bisque was delicious, after I sent it back to be warmed. Barbara, the waitress, needed to be warmed up, also. She was quite snooty most of our meal. My husband enjoyed his rock fish sandwich. I think $100 for... More

There is a bar under the main restaurant called Hole in the Wall. It gets its name from the time the canal was built. It a fun place to go for drinks and a good time. You can see the ships passing by too.

Seven of us had lunch at this restuarant and all enjoyed their food. I had calamari, which I love, and it was excellent and plentiful, enough to share with others. Nice location with views of the water and marine traffic. Would definitely choose it again.
