You can't find a more quaint location with view in Chesapeake City than the patio at this restaurant. So, go there for the view, but don't expect the food quality to match the view. The steak was mushy and their "lump" crabcake tasted like it...More

After receiving many recommendations for the Bayard House in the cute little town of Chesapeake City, MD, we decided to celebrate our anniversary dinner there. There is no parking lot for the restaurant but we were able to find some parking down the street from...More

Researched ahead where to have our 25th wedding anniversary dinner while on an overnight in Chesapeake City. We chose this place and even stopped in early in the day to check it out. The setting and location is A+ but the food was not good...More

Have been to Bayard House at least once each year for the past several, I can say I've never been disappointed. As good as their entrees are (especially the crab cakes!), I could easily make a meal out of the apps! Try the Oysters Rockefeller,...More

I stopped by the Bayard House the other day for crab cakes. They were brought quickly from the kitchen by my very helpful server. I have to say I’ve never seen larger cakes mounded on the plate. Bountiful would be an understatement. They were marvelous...More

Too bad food is not as good as the great location on the canal. Crab cakes were awful. Stuffed peppers not much better. The dining room has really gone downhill. We will not go back until there is a major change on the kitchen

I have dined here several times however, I never ordered lobster only the crab cakes. The crab cakes are the best I have had in the region. I recommend you call the restaurant directly regarding your question. Happy Travels!
