Day time is a little slow. Food is reasonable, but no free money! Lots of slots but we're not as lucky here. Step down from Rod and Feel. View really isn't there except the boats tied up at the dock. Rod and reel is our first choice.

We dined there just for the local blue crab. Its good food in a casual setting. We sat outside by the water.

We were there on class reunion. I was looking forward to the crab & seafood. Crabs are small, less meat and very expensive. So as the $25 Apner's pot. Corn was mushy and tasteless like from yesterday. There is a slot machines next door to the dining hall. Staff are robotic except the bar man whom I chat with for... More

My husband and I traveled to Washington DC for a long weekend. I wanted to go back to the place that my Uncle Andy lived many years before he passed away. We visited him in Chesapeake Beach MD as often as we could when I was growing up. Abners was a place that he always loved to take us for... More

Place is dirty, slow, food is like a cafeteria at a school. It's alright but this place is mostly for low lifes. Don't go if your with a family.

My family and I wanted seafood after a long day at the water park. We arrived a little after 7 pm and decided to eat outside. When the sun started going down I asked the waitress if she could turn the lights on. For 45 mins my family had to eat in the dark because she claimed she didn't know... More

Day two in matyland and we wanted crabs. We were in north beach and attended their first ever wine/beer/spirits outdoor event. Too hot for that, asked a local where to go for crabs. We were told to go to Abners and he warned us that the decor was not fancy. Abners was clean and the waitstaff friendly and helpful. The... More

This is the spot to go for Maryland crabs in the Chesapeake Beach area. It's your basic crab shack (think brown paper table covering and plastic chairs) but the crab is caught locally and is very good. The rest of the menu is okay so don't expect 5 star dining, but they have cold beer and quality crab so we... More

While I've eaten may crab cakes visiting Maryland the last many years, it had been a long while since I had ordered Blue Crabs. Abner's crabs were very meaty and well seasoned. I don't think we found a light one among the 4 of us sharing a few dozen. Our service was just so-so...not very attentive after the initial order,... More

This place was TERRIBLE. We were there on 5/2/10. There were 6 in our party. We ordered dinners of crab cakes, grilled chicken, bbq shrimp, a seafood platter, and crab balls/shrimp. The crab cakes were dry and had too much filling. The grilled chicken was over cooked and dry. The food all seemed to be either frozen or canned. The only highlight were the two salads that were ordered. The only thing worse than the food was the service. For parties of 6 or more they add a 20% gratuity. If they didn't, our waitress would have been lucky to get 10%. She was more interested in sitting at the bar! Bad food, horrible service and a $229 bill averaging out to $38 a person and we only had soda or tea to drink.....DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE
