The covered rooftop looked promisingly casual...... Salsa incorporates ingredients that make Mexican cuisine one of the very few recognized by UNICEF as a cultural heritage. Made right, it is sublime, with many variations. Someone wrote that salsa here tasted like out of a can, but I honestly never had supermarket salsa as bad as this-it was more like ketchup, with... My husband and I always choose TiaQuetq when we want to have a quiet dinner with friends and not feel rushed. Margaritas first with their tomato salsa, chips and a side of Quacamole to start. Our favorites include chicken mole, enchiladas verdes and their fish dishes. Caramel crepes for dessert. Service is excellent in a lovely decorated restaurant. Street and... More

For many years my wife and I were regulars here enjoying memorable meals courtesy of Roberto and his extended family. Over time, the staff changed and some dishes became disappointing and we drifted away. Mainly for old times sake, we went back for dinner and it was wonderful. Tia Queta still has the welcoming feel of a family-run, neighborhood restaurant.... More

We came for lunch. Not impressed. Mole enchiladas were greasy and mole sauce had no flavor. Tortilla was mushy. Chicken in the enchiladas was orange, and did not taste good. Tacos al pastor OK but not great. Burrito not great either. Chips and salsa- the salsa was like out of a can. Nothing fresh and no cilantro. Queso had zero... More

We just came here to have a drink on a Friday night - went straight to the rooftop bar - very nice! The atmosphere i just really wonderful and relaxed. There were quite a few people there eating dinner and they all seemed to like their food. The wait staff was very friendly and very attentive. We will have to... More

We hadn't been here for awhile, but will return. The chips and salsa were not typical and very tasty. The spicy pork was delicious. We enjoyed the margaritas.

My husband and I found this lovely restaurant by chance, on our way back to our hotel after a late concert in Bethesda. We were looking for vegetarian fare at 10:00 on a Friday night and had already encountered many restaurants that were either closed or did not serve vegetarian food. The Ramen place around the corner, for instance, was... More

Second time here for dinner, and again everything was delicious. We went with 2 of the 3 specials: pork tacos and red snapper with shrimp. Both were excellent. They have a big menu with lots of choices, and while the upstairs/outdoor terrace dining area may not be for everyone - if you were led there blindfolded and tasted the food... More

Go to Gringo & Mariachis for authentic mexican food. This place has been in Bethesda a long time and its food is really more Tex/Mex. If you want chips and salsa this is fine.

I have been going to this restaurant for more than 25 years, ever since it opened just around the corner, but I have not been back for about five years. Rockville where I live has come forth with many restaurants of high quality, so I have not been taking the trouble to go all the way to Bethesda. I was... More
