High qulaity coffee, and really great doughnuts made in the classic way, i.e. crusty crullers, etc. There are other pastries, including being "home of the bennies," i.e. New orleans-sytle beignets. If you need something more substantial, there are freshly-prepared breakfast sandwiches (omelets and more) served on a biscuit, or egg white omlete-based sandwiches served on an English muffin. Good bagels.... More

THIS is what every coffee bar should be...Starbucks should be so lucky! They have terrific coffee and teas, smoothies, and a wide variety of morning eats, sandwiches, etc. Everything is top shelf quality and flavor!!! Be sure to try their fabulous homemade bennies...with dipping sauce!

The menu is so creative and varied. It is worth the trip to get coffee and something to eat. Everything is cooked to order and delicious. The food is great but it is over priced. $3.50 for a small hot chocolate for my daughter, two breakfast sandwiches and two coffees cost me about $25. The for is very good, the... More

Ordered a latte with skim milk didn't take a sip until I was in the car...big mistake. It was made with whole milk. Didn't have time to go back in to get it corrected. Very disappointed. Ordered the bennies...hot powdered donuts. Pretty good.

Stopped in on a recommendation of friends and enjoyed the bennie's "light powdered sugar donuts made famous in New Orleans and done really well here"

We have stopped here a few times for coffee and a breakfast snack. The coffee is good, the food is okay. Nothing spectacular. Too small of a space, and the air is stuffy.

One sandwich we had was to die for! Spicy and biscuit, yum. However, the english muffin sandwich with avocado fell apart and was not eatable. Coffee was good, for people not from maine, we detest Dunkin Donuts and this was as close as we could find to what we like anywhere in the state in our 2 recent visits. Lacking... More

Very early March and we were visiting Antique Shops. It was a long drive from Mass and we all needed a coffee and something to eat. Surprised to find that every restaurant was closed until lunch. Then we saw JOE's Coffee Shop. Pulled in and was treated to an outstanding breakfast sandwich and coffee. I had egg & cheese on... More

I ordered the Betsy, Southwestern, Bacon Egg and Cheeses. The biscuits were Awesome! The flavor on the Southwestern sandwich was great. The decaf coffee was excellent as well as the other types of coffee. I gave it 4 out of 5 because we were from out of town and many locals were served their breakfast sandwiches before us after they... More
