Wells Beach, surf, sand and sea gulls! When I get hungry, I head to Forbes'! Their food has been the same delicious, home cooking since I first had it in 1976.

Very good sea food. Prices were a little high though. Love going here for an ice cream and sitting on the benches in front looking out onto the ocean.

We spent a week in Ogunquit ME and were recommended to visit Wells beach. While there we were reference to Forbes seafood for brunch. We had immediate concern as we had stopped in at the restaurant the previous year and found the food barely palatable. Crazed with hunger, we decided that breakfast was a lower risk and took the plunge.... More

Decent breakfast, decent value. More of a convenience than a destination Closed at 2:00 pm on a Saturday with a crowded beach

We arrived a bit after lunch time. I had the clam chowder, and I loved it. A lot of clams, and great clam flavor, the way NE clam chowder is supposed to taste. More of a milk/cream mixture, not thick , it was delicious. We got it at the take-out window, and sat on the benches overlooking the beach. My... More

I've been coming to Wells and Forbes for a number of years and every year the food is the same. Yes, it's fast food, and you eat on paper plates. But the place is clean, the staff young and polite, and the food always great. The French fries are hot and fresh and both the crab roll or lobster roll,... More

Kind of a fast food hybrid. You order at the counter and pay then sit at a table and a server will bring out your order. I understand that it's a seasonal business and they only have a limited time frame to make money but $20.00 for a lobster roll. Really?

My Family & I went here, They have very small portions of food, The dining room was dirty, 1 of us had a hair in our coleslaw, food tasted ok, Slow service and very pricey for what little you get.. Will not go back, we tried it before & it was just ok then, this time our family was disappointed..

There is nothing better than getting a hearty breakfast before a long morning walk on the beach or great lunch to take out on the beach in the afternoon. Highly recommend the calamari!

We wait each year for Forbes to open. It still looks and feels the same. Clam strips were mushy and hot dogs were cold. We were the only people there, so we can't blame a line.

Thank Lisa B

Since 1921 the Forbes family has been serving tasty fried seafood, home made onion rings, pizza, beer and wine, ice cream, popcorn and fresh ground hamburg. One meal that is asked for is the famous Scrambleburger. Though all our customers have tried to replicate this at home, they always come back to tell us, "It's just not the same!" Whether you start your day at the beach with a muffin and coffee or end the day with an ice cream, there is something for everyone.
