If you like fried seafood, this is your place. Completely friendly place for enjoying fresh Maine seafood. The steamers appetizer is huge but so delicious- yum!

We were in Maine, and by God I was going to have a lobster roll every day. EVERY DAY! Well, this lobster roll was one of the best. Kind of a hole-in-the-wall type of place. So good, we went twice!

OK. Good food. Long wait. Small Tables. Hard benches. And Strange Rules. 1st rule is that they want to put 6 people at a table that is made for 4. Very tight. I guess since they are so crowded it gets people in faster. 2nd...More

The food here is very good! The service could be better. We sat for quite awhile before being waited on. We ordered the chowder but never got spoons for it until we got our dinner. The waitress never returned till then. Would go gain hoping...More

We arrived about 5:15pm and the place was packed. We were told a forty minute wait, and that proved to be accurate. The restaurant is small, and there is only a very small waiting area with a few wooden benches, so waiting isn't all that...More

We've eaten here multiple times over the past several years and have always had a great meal. Primarily deep fried seafood but it is always light. We brought visiting family this year and they raved too. A got-to-go when in the area.

This place has the best seafood anywhere! There is always a line waiting to get in so plan on arriving early. You might have to wait an hour or more but it is worth it! We put our name on the list and then went...More

It appears that they still understand the customer. The service in there bust there butt, working hard to keep the place moving. Food size is great as well is the chowder, the best I had during my recent trip to Maine. Love the picnic style...More

We recently ate dinner here on our stay in Wells based on positive reviews we read on this site. We were glad we did. Though it was busy and we had to wait about 30 minutes, it was well worth it. My lobster roll was...More

We have been going to the 'catch for many years. Always great food and service. Our last visit was most disappointing. We usually order the baked haddock and we request well done. This was never a problem until our last visit. The haddock was very...More

The only way you would know for sure is to ask the restaurant what they put in their chowder. Generally speaking, clam chowder does not have those, but why chance it?
