Enjoyed dinner here and all thought food was great. Surf and Turf..beef tenderloin was excellent and liked choice of scallops or shrimp. Scallops large but tender. Chef obviously takes pride in preparing creative tasty dishes. Full bar. Small place but nice atmosphere. On my favorites list our trips to Maine!

Prime Rib here is awesome! My husband can't stop talking about it! I have tried many items on the menu and it is all great. We love the fact that it's all local. Everyone there is super nice!

We stopped here on our way to the airport in Portland. We had good breakfast and lunches here before and good service so we figured a short stop would work. We ordered omelettes and waited. Almost 20 minutes after we ordered the omelets appeared and the restaurant was almost empty. The omelettes were tasteless and neither the sparse mushrooms or... More

My husband & I are new to Maine. We decided to try the Thomaston Cafe on our way to Rockland. This is not a fast food joint. The food quality, and the fact that there were no I-Phones, I-Pads. People were actually having a conversation. The coffee was good. The waitress was adorable and even though we waited a bit,... More

Yes, Thomaston's roads are a mess due to complete renovation of the main thoroughfare. Yes, there is not a lot of charm in our downtown right now. However, there is an outstanding little restaurant right Main St. on the corner by the traffic light that is worth the trip. The Thomaston Cafe boasts an owner/chef who creates sensational main courses... More

Our friends that live in Maine recommended this place and we were by today for lunch. I had the Lobster chowder which was amazing, and Lobster is my favorite. Ordered with a veggie wrap also very tasty, with French fries, yum. This was a lot of food but so worth consuming. My sweetie had the Patty melt and the Haddock... More

The lobster and corn bisque was outstanding, much better than expected in this little bistro in Thomaston. The meal could have been in the big city -- Boston, Portland, Providence -- except the service was too friendly (too friendly for a big city, that is!). Crab cakes on greens were pretty good, although I prefer Maryland blue crab. The prices... More

MINIs of Maine, a MINI Cooper Club, trekked into Thomaston on our September Rally. Ryan and his staff were ready for our group of 28 people and had us taken care of swiftly and efficiently. We had provided notice and Ryan even added a special for our group, MINI Cooper Sliders! The food offerings were fresh, creative and varied providing... More

Ate here twice - once in the summer and once in the fall. Both times the food was great! This is not your typical pile on a big serving of slop and you are on your way. This restaurant cooks a work of art. You can tell there is great care in both the making of the meal and the... More
