Food is very good and reasonably priced. Service is great and friendly. Some tables have a harbor view. Not fancy, but great value for your money.

Traveled to the east coast in late October-coming from a tourist business on the Oregon Coast I am familiar with "seasonal burn out" and a bit of "locals welcome" mentality when you are inundated for the summer. However, if you have had enough of the crowds perhaps it is time to close and regroup. We dined here because it was... More

We stopped into the Harbor Cafe for a quick lunch since it was the only place in Stonington open for business. Their special soup of the day was haddock chowder which was thin and mostly potatoes with very little haddock. We also sampled the lobster roll which was nothing special. Overall a disappointing experience.

Nothing fancy, but offers a little of anything you might be interested in. Right on the main Street, with view across of the water. Friendly staff, solid food. Would recommend this for a casual lunch.

I would never recommend this place. My husband and I dined here on Oct.11, 2016. I ordered the scallop plate. The scallops were tasteless and were pink in the middle. Mind you they were fried. They tasted like they came out of the freezer. Like they were store bought. Worst tasting fried scallops I ever had. My husband had the... More

By October this is the only restaurant open in Stonington and in that respect, a real blessing. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner and found all our meals just great. The food is simple and typical Maine coast "diner" fare. Fried clams were great, as were the eggs Benedict.

This cafe located across the sea wall from the harbor was a welcome find. Good food, fast service, a large menu and efficient staff. It has something to please most everyone.

I have eaten at the Harbor Cafe several times, and the consistency is excellent. A lot of the food is fried and they have moved to a gluten-free batter which is not all greasy and my wife and I find it excellent. The selection is fantastic, the service is friendly and accommodating, and the location is charming. It is reasonably... More
