Jordan Pond house provides a central location in Acadia for hiking around Jordan pond and surrounding hill and mountainside (south/north bubble mountain). There are 2 parking lots but the volume of people visiting overloads available parking. Be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes for a parking...More

If you are not into making reservations, the best time to go to the Jordan Pond House is after 4 PM for afternoon tea. We waited less than 10 minutes for a table and were able to have a lovely table on the lawn overlooking...More

So enjoyed our lunch on the grounds of Jordan Pond House. All the food we ordered was very good. We had a view of the bay as we sat under an umbrella enjoying the beautiful weather. There were quite a few people and it is...More

Took my granddaughters to Acadia, and was a little disappointed that our reservation still required an additional 1/2 hr wait. The food and view made it somewhat better. The children had pasta with a great salad, and a popover. We ordered an appetizer of smoked...More

Parking for this restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Nice facility, good service, pricey but to be expected in tourist area. My disappointment was with our lobster rolls, by the taste and texture the lobster had been previously frozen. There are far better eateries...More

Stopped here on our visit to Acadia. The lunch was good if a bit pricey. Parking can be hard to come by. Best to arrive early and hike. It was nice eating indoors and the signature popovers are okay.

Large with generic Maine type food. Good, efficient service that one comes to expect. You can sit inside or out. The island express is the easiest way to get here. We jumped on the 4 on the loop road after walking the ocean path. We...More

This place is really cute but if you can bike or hike there do it! Parking is a nightmare. You'll drive around all day looking for a spot. The popovers were good but I can't say I'd fight all that for them again.

A popover is a light, hollow roll made from an egg batter similar to that of Yorkshire pudding. It is best to ask to talk to the Chef when you have an allergy. That is what I do as I am allergic to eggs, onions and... More
