Okay so its loud and its a tavern, but get over the noise and the shared tables and the food and service were outstanding. We all had differing types of seafood including some tremendous tuna steaks and mahi-mahi. Beer was cold and the server terrific. Parking was very limited but walkable distance away.

Do you remember "Cheers?" This is it. Just blocks from all the trendy places (with no water view) but when you walk in you know you're welcome to join the regulars. The regulars are contractors, fishermen, city employees, shop owners and year 'rounders from the neighborhood. I've been working my way through the menu and can recommend a number of... More

This place has such a wide offering of food and it was AMAZING! No matter what we ordered, it was delicious. Scallops and shrimp were perfect. Burgers were off the hook delicious. Nachos were awesome appetizer. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Good food and excellent last minute accommodations. Friendly staff and place to meet locals. Worth the travel down the side street to find .

We came on a recommendation from our innkeeper. It's a cozy bar atmosphere. We started with a side salad; nice and fresh, not bagged lettuce. My companion had the seared scallops with spinach risotto. Scallops were excellent, risotto was OK, not a lot of spinach. I had the blackened tuna, which was very good, but could have been a little... More

So the other day on a trip to Rockland Maine, we were looking for a beverage after dinner. There were 7 of us and we stopped in Waterworks. It was late on a winter night (off season) so it was not too busy, but once we walked in we were made to fell welcome. The bartender (Lyndsey) and the rest... More

Stopped in for early dinner. Rueben and hadock sandwich were awesome. Onion rings perfect. Sebago and Shipyard beers on tap. Will definitely be back

My wife and I took a couple of friends to the Waterworks for New Years Eve dinner. Everything was great, from the Absolute Cape Codders to the ribeye steak to the seafood platters. Good job. Happy New Year everyone. Jensen Willis did a great job getting us excellent seats. Thanks Jenz!

I stopped by to have fried clams and beer for lunch. The clams were great on this visit. The kitchen prepared them with a very light batter coating. The batter had some internal air holes keeping it from becoming heavy and dense during frying. I quite enjoyed them. A couple of weeks later I again stopped by for clams and... More

Off-season in late November, the town is otherwise shut down, but Waterworks was open, and I was happy I found it! The fried clams were delicious, and the service was very friendly.
