We are typically in Rangeley a few times per summer and stopping to get ice cream and check out the ducks began years ago. We have never deviated. The ice cream is excellent and we have always been happy with the service. The staff have always been friendly and the portions have always been good sized.
A Mecca for locals and visitors to the region in the summer. Great ice cream (hard and soft serve). And a nice spot to eat it on the pond near the center of town!
Right in the Center of Rangeley. They serve Maine-made Gifford's ice cream from two take-out windows. The offerings were plentiful. There is a small covered area so that you can order out of the sun, wind, rain, etc. We enjoyed our treats at picnic tables in the back right on Rangeley Lake. There were several well behaved ducks waiting patiently... More
We stopped in on our way up for a vacation weekend. The staff was friendly, prices reasonable, and the business appeared to be very clean inside. The ice cream/frozen yogurt was tasty and the portion size good. The grounds to enjoy your treat are right on a pond. It was nice to sit and watch the ducks swim around and... More
Great ice cream stand with lots to choose from and if you can't finish your cone I think I know a few feathery friends that will be happy to oblige!
Pine Tree Frosty is a little open air stand. It features high quality ice cream treats, hamburgers and hot dogs. The surprise is that it also serves seafood including a superior lobster roll. There are some picnic tables to enjoy the local ambiance and a moose cut out you can take a picture in
Good ice cream but terrible service....slow ...it was a busy night and all i could see was 2 young girls working....the poor service was not their fault but you would think the owners would have this figured out.....
We stopped here once during our visit to Rangeley. Glad we did this on our next to the last day here or it could have become a calorie laden daily event. Good variety of ice cream flavors. Also offers hamburgers, seafood, etc. Nice area in back right along the lake to sit and enjoy your treats.
Very cute ice cream parlor on main street. It reminded me of my child hood. My husband didn't complain about his ice cream!
