Everyone urged us to go try the lobster roll at Eventide, and I hate to say it but I was disappointed! I went with my husband on a Tuesday evening; we each ordered the lobster roll as well as a half-dozen oysters to share. The...More

This was my husband’s and I first stop in Portland for lunch. We had the lobster rolls and oysters. The rolls were so fresh, soft and flavorful. We tried three types of oysters and out favorite was Winter Point followed by Johns River.

Tried Eventide due to close proximity to hotel. Their raw bar had an extensive selection of oysters. The ones I tried were great. Had their lobster stew. The broth was very tasty. Definitely a trendy place for a younger crowd.

Eventide is always crowded and the wait might be long, you can take advantage of the standing room and start your meal there while you wait for a bar or table seat. I really enjoyed oysters, lobster roll and Austin Street Brewery’s beer!

Located in a small sunny space located near the center of downtown Portland. This is an oyster lovers wonderland. The display on the bar of oysters bedded in ice in a dished out large piece of granite is spectacular and informative. The menu includes multiple...More

My wife and I decided to go early and lucked out because 10 minutes later the line was very long and sorry but an hour or more wait doesn’t work for me. What does work is the food these folks are putting out. We ordered...More

We went for dinner one night. And then went back for more lobster rolls and oysters the next night. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and gives great recommendations about their oysters. If you’re going to pick one place to spend some money, this might...More

Awesome lobster stew, lobster roll and oysters. Mix in friends, outdoor seating, long island ice tea and you get a great night out.

I don’t typically like lobster but this lobster roll was unbelievable- from the bun to the meat, and no mayonnaise was the best part! Oysters were fresh and wide selection. Potato chips were above average. Pastrami roll delicious. Tuna Crudo- has to be the best...More

The best Lobster roll I had on my visit to Maine. Its different than your typical lobster roll, richer meat and comes in a steamed bun but in my opinion made it so much better. I'd take these over a regular lobster roll every day...More

There is outside seating but I did not notice any dogs. The outside seating is on the city sidewalk.

There is outside seating. But I didn’t notice any dogs or water bowls. But I may have missed them. Overall, Portland is super friendly to dogs. I’d be surprised if they didn’t accommodate them.

I didn't notice any children options on the menu but maybe they accommodate without advertising it. Not sure. I would recommend calling ahead to make a rez so you could ask at that time. The place is very popular and very... More
