Very large beer selection in a hidden spot. German beer cellar vibe to it. Lots of choices (with some rare finds) for beer. 2nd time here and really enjoyed it again.

Every time I've come to this place, the service has been super rude. I've sat at the bar just staring into space waiting for the bartender to acknowledge that I am, in fact, a person and not a holograph. When you go out for food & drinks, you shouldn't have to flag someone down to be served. The food is... More

Knowledgeable staff for all things beer. A massive beer list focused on Europe and specifically Belgium. A good pretzel. Terrific "cellar" atmosphere. Somewhat hidden location near Key Bank.

This spot has an extensive draft and bottle list. It's a total hipster paradise and our server was a bit pretentious but we had a great time trying some new beers. The pretzels and slim jims were tasty. We will definitely visit again when we're in town.

OK, so Novare Res has been around for nearly a decade now, and I've finally gotten on the bandwagon to go visit. The occasion was during a friend's visit from the Boston area when we decided it would be fun to go on a speak-easy quest and do some bar-hopping in Portland on a Monday night. Novare Res is "hidden"... More

Huge beer selection, some really expensive. Good venue, good service. They do have one of the larger selections of cider available, most on the expensive side. Did not eat here, so cannot comment on the food. A beer heaven for those so inclined.

We stopped in here for a few beers before dinner - they have a very expansive selection. We enjoyed the ambiance as well.

What a cool place to relax after a long week. The IPA list is a bit lacking- but we managed to find a few. The service was friendly. I loved the setting- so many things to look at. Have you ever heard of Baconost? There is a tube of it on display! We did not try the food. Will return... More
