I have stopped in the Docksider a few times in the past five years. This past October was very different, they added a extra room/deck onto the side. The service and food seemed different. The onion rings were normal, however the Clam Chowder was not the standard recipe.

A locally owned restaurant with great lobster. 2013 winner of several awards for its lobster rolls. Had a variety of options on the menu. Try the homemade blueberry pie. They close for the season on the 12th so draft beer options were very limited.

We arrived and sat outside on the patio. Waitress took 17 minutes to answer my repeated calls to come over and bring menus. Having read previous reviews citing bad service, I set my phone's timer just to see. When she did, her first bark at us was "Do you know what you want because we're closing". How soon we asked?... Cheap and cheerful - always feed my crew here when in the harbor. Nice folks, big portions, save room for dessert.

We went there to avoid a downpour after a morning of biking in Acadia National Park. We had an appetizer of haddock pieces that were amazing. Crispy, flavorful, fresh, and not greasy! We had drafts of local Atlantic Brewery... Great beer. Best of all was the waiter who chatted with us and let us wait out the rain. Great time!

The Docksider is under new management and the food has improved from edible to good. You cannot go wrong with lobster and other seafood. The skinny fried onions are a guilty pleasure. Somewhat thinly staffed the Docksider service is frantic but friendly. Good local beers and drinkable wine. Scrumptious pies ala mode.

Four lobster rolls an order of onion rings and a chicken sandwich made our group of 5 happy and ready to hit the high seas. Great wait staff too. Thanks Docksider!

Though this used to be a favorite destination, our recent visit was disappointing. The food (lobster, corn on the cob) was mediocre. The new spruce up of color (turquoise) was a poor choice considering most of the classic red and white still exists, confusing the whole look and tradition. Unfortunately, I won't be looking forward to returning.

They ran out of lobster, lemonade, and chips. Not impressed at all. We had a crab roll which was good with lots of crab but only crab and a scrawny piece of lettuce. Won't go back, and prices were too high for what you got. Wait staff was disorganized and frentic.
