It's an open-air place with a section that is under a canopy in case of wet weather. Located right on the dock where the lobster boats offload their catch. Lobster is, obviously, fresh and is excellently prepared. Also offers mussels, chowders, steamers, crab dishes, etc. A must-stop when in the area!

The Round Pond Lobstermen's Co-op is on the shore and offers clams and lobsters, either cooked or live to take home. The prices are competitive and the service is great!

Went a couple of times in our four day stay in Round Pond. I would highly recommend this co-op as is is lobster at half the price of the restaurants. If one is on a budget and want lobster this is the place. You can even pick out your own live lobster. Their corn on the cob is also very... More

This is truly a BYOE, bring your own everything. Prices were the most affordable we've seen. You order at a hut, then choose a seaside picnic table to sit at. We brought our own drinks, but many people brought an entire set up (table cloth, napkins, appetizers, wine, dessert, etc.) very simple menu: lobsters, clams, corn and chips (cape cod... More

Located on the shore with a view. Tried the steamed clams the fish (haddock) sandwich and lobster roll. Lobster roll was fair; had to ask for butter and broth for the steamers, and the sandwich bread fell apart. They need some more alternatives for those non-seafoodies who would like to visit.

Less view and less 'range' but great fish and simple the way it 'used to be'. Worth using if Muscongus is too busy or you like it more peaceful - plus this one goes right to the lobstermen.

There is a group of us (6) who practically lived at this quaint lobster pound as we stayed in Bristol. There is no other place that gives you so much for your bucks! Getting the bag of mussels with the lobster is fantastic. I don't think they offered chowder last year because none of us ordered it. The owner hires... More

Been here twice in one week. Best chowder I can remember having. They have either haddock or lobster chowder, don't know why they don't have clam chowder. I've had the steamers and chowder, with a terrific corn bread. The corn bread was so good it beat the ones I've had in Southern states. Others in the party had lobster with... More

Hubby and I travel all year and get lobster on every cruise and at every seafood eatery. This was by far the sweetest, tenderest and freshest we have ever had, hands down. I rarely rate an eatery excellent unless the atmosphere, food and service are all top notch and this exceeded our expectations. Beautiful day, excellent food and service, dare... More

The Round Pond Lobstermen's Coop is inexpensive, fresh, delicious, and your visit/purchases directly support the local lobster "men". Fresh caught lobster feet from the water. Love this place! I love everything about the around Pond Lobstermen's Coop. Visit them for sure while in the Mid Coast region of Maine.
