We bought one mediocre little lobster roll, one bowl (sorry, no cups available) of lobster chowder (tasty), one salad (superb) and one glass of iced tea at lunch (not dinner!!!) and the bill was around $60. The food nor ambiance was not that good. The last time we spent that much for lunch was for two hamburgers and a Coke... More

We just ate there for a small lunch and some drinks during the Prelude. We got lucky and were seated right away, which is a pleasant surprise. I only ordered the French Onion soup. Wow! It's a surprise to say the least. I thought our waiter, who was great by the way, was delivering a pot pie to our table.... More

Great food and very reasonable bottle wine prices! Service was top notch even though it was a packed Friday night!

Our B&B recommended Hurricane's so we went for our anniversary. Seems like they have two distinct areas, bar dining and fine dining. We had the fine dining. The fine dining area has views of the harbor. Service was solid throughout and our server did spend some time talking with us which was nice. We had a 6:00 reservation and they... More

Dinner, nice window table but very crowded when the dining room was full Stuffed lobster at $60 was "the worst." Stuffing nondescript and mushy, tail meat dry and lifeless As though it had been cooked in advance and so difficult to extract from the shell that it was sent to the kitchen for help. The busser piled dishes on my... More

Options are limited for an in town lunch in the off season but it is time to find another spot. This is fine - but prices are fairly steep for the quality of food. Would avoid the onion soup - somehow made creamy and with a heavy puff pastry top - not a traditional onion soup. Pistachios were not the... More

Visiting this town recently and we asked around for lunch spots. More than a handful of people recommended here. Part of the restaurant is on the water. You've got a nice bar sitting area plus the dining room which has the water view. Although it was cold and rainy, it was nice and warm inside. They had great food options,... More

On a Thursday evening in October I was looking forward to an anticipated Maine dining experience. I got one but not the one I was looking forward to. Don't get me wrong; the food was OK, just not up to the hype provided by other reviews on this site, other sites, and various guide books. Perhaps, the kitchen was having... More

Hurricane offers a great choice of meats, fish, seafood, always well prepared and served with a smile. This is not only supper, it is dining at its very best for a reasonable price. Good choice of wines.
