This place is just fine for a low key, no frills lunch. Good for a fish sandwich and fries. Just know it's a local hangout and gets very loud.

We tried to eat here last year, but wanted steamers and they were out so we left. So we went back again this year and once again they were out of both lobster and steamers. But unfornately this time we stayed. We both had the clam chowder which had not substance. Just the creamy broth, although adding crackers gave it... More

We had not been to The Pilot House in awhile but we visited on a cool November evening. This is not an upscale dining establishment and I say that in only the best sense . It is a place for friends, family, great seafood at a good price in one of the world's greatest towns. They don't take reservations because the loyal... More

Awesome food as always. Janice was our server and she was great. Super fun atmosphere and a great outdoor fire pit.

We stopped into the Pilot House to catch the end of the Patriots Game on 12/4. The place was packed! We scored a couple of seats at the bar after waiting about 20 minutes. Burgers are great, chowder delicious and fish sandwich was fresh and cooked to perfection.

We had lunch here . It is a real local watering hole. The waitress is one of the best. We had the lobster roll (how can we not have that) and chowder along with clam steamer. They were all spot on. It is certainly a place to go for local Maine sea food.

From the outside, and the inside somewhat, you wouldn't expect such a great meal. This place is simple food done perfectly. No need to dress anything up. Come in for a beer and a lobster and you'll be happy you did. Extremely friendly staff.

Small but rustic. Old salty feel which is why I was a little disappointed. I ordered the special grilled ham , turkey and cheese. I asked if I could have it without the ham , well it cam with 2 slices of turkey . My husband had the fish and chips which he said was ok. Our lunch total was... More

So, my wife and I really like this place. We go here nearly once a month. However, I have give it a mixed review for dinner. It brings in a big bar crowd. They are diverse in demographic from deck young hands to the old wealth. It is not uncommon to have a wedding party crash the place for a... More
