This little gem was recommended by our hotel in Augusta Maine. It was just two miles away from the Quality Inn so don’t get fooled by its Hallowell Maine address. Great selection of local beers. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Great Cubano...More

Third visit to the Liberal Cup pub and restaurant - always consistent with good food and drink. Great atmosphere even if a little noisy.

Great service, lovely “old” pub environment. I got a flight of the draft beers (delicious), the fish chowder (amazing and so fresh!) and finally the chicken salad (on a bed of lettuce). Wish I was closer so I could be a regular!

Cozy atmosphere, good service and well-prepared, unpretentious food. As you'd expect, this a popular spot - there was a line when we arrived, so we ate at the bar. Plenty of choice - salads, vegan options, sandwiches, soup, wraps and full meals. Onion rings are...More

Always good, usually a bit of a wait at popular times. Get a paddle, try a slew of beers. The food is always cooked to order, and always good. Prices reasonable. Two rooms, the inner is a bit quieter. Trivia night is fun if you...More

I believe the kitchen is open to 9:30 or 10:00 PM with light pub food after that.

Hi, Why don't you call and speak to the restaurant directly. Only they would know that answer.

Description
The Liberal Cup Public House & Brewery in Hallowell, ME, is our take on the traditional English pub. Our mission is to provide a gathering place for our local friends and seasonal visitors to enjoy good food and drink. Like the pubs that dot the English countryside, The Liberal Cup is an inviting and cozy spot to bring family and friends. And while the draughts will conjure that familiar flavor of jolly ol’ England (ales and bitters being our specialty), we’re happy to brag that the food will not. Our award-winning chef has taken classic pub fare and elevated it with fresh, local ingredients. His daily specials highlight Maine's seasonal offerings and on the weekends he likes to turn The Cup into a gastropub with his haute and nouvelle cuisine creations.
