Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went with my family of four on 28 June 2022 for ‘all you can eat’. Food was ok but service was absolutely TERRIBLE. THREE times I had to ask the staff why our food was coming out so slow and in some cases not at...all when all the tables around us were overflowing with food. After the THIRD time we had had enough and left. They had the nerve to want to charge me $164 for ‘all you can eat’ when we only received about 6 small dishes in one hour!! Ended up paying for the 6 dishes that by some miracle made it to our table. No explanation why our table seemed to be in a miniature Bermuda Triangle! Very poor service OKAMI, you should feel ashamed at wanting to charge me anything for that experience let alone full price! Thankfully McDonald’s on the way home was ok and served promptly.More

Visited on a Sunday evening for dinner with my son & his partner. The restaurant was quite full at 5.30. Staff were friendly & efficient. We ordered a variety of small dishes before mains: all very tasty. Our dessert ice cream didn’t sound great but...was definitely yummy. I even had seconds! A good time was had by all of us :-)More

Ordered uber eats, driver didn't even ring the door bell so didn't even know food arrived. I saw him speed off down my court. Chicken was dry and stale with only enough sauce for 1 chicken! Sushimi was such a small portion, half the portion...what it normally is and doesn't look fresh so I won't eat it. Their food used to be good but very poor of late, won't go there again. Yuk!More

Would not purchase from here again. During lockdown purchased the take away banquet advertised however it was nothing like the photo on the flyer. Amount of food was minimal compared to what was advertised and was sitting there at least 20 minutes prior to pick...up as I arrived early and it was already packed for me so by the time I got it home food was cold. Made a complaint but nothing done about it. Would not return there. Food was terribleMore

we have been twice and they seem as restaurants are more interested in the uber eats than the customers sitting. drinks took 20 minutes to come and meals longer. they were poorly organised even though they kept apologising they were still slowMore

My friend took me here for my birthday and I honestly loved it. I love trying new foods and this place gave me a great opportunity to try a good dozen or so different dishes that would have cost a fortune otherwise (I was surprised...by how much I ended up enjoying the squid dish). It is a shame that you you need at least 2 people to book a table but I do understand the reasoning behind it, especially on weekends when it would be much busier. I would definitely love to come back some time but it's definitely more of a "special occasions" type place.More

Reservations are done over the phone or via website, but I could not change the reservation over the phone or via Quandoo. Frustrating booking over the phone because you enter a time and the recording says you can book for every 15 minutes but I...could only get 5.30 pm or 7.45 pm. The other frustrating thing was the restaurant was certainly not full so I do not know why I could not make a booking for 6 pm. The food was fantastic and great value. Great choice of foods on the menu. All you can eat and every time you picked up the menu, a waiter came over to take your order. Unfortunately they charge a $5 corkage fee for any bottles of wine you BYO. First sitting is 5 pm to 7.30 pm and you have to be out be then.More

We visited on Sunday evening the 22nd of December. Was forthrightly warned that if we left food on our plates we would be charged double! Did we look like two obese individuals settling in to eat them out of business? Shameful behaviour even if we...were... Extremely rude, aloof and obnoxious staff. We're a couple, not an under twelves football team visiting a sizzler. Anyway, that's the atmosphere in there. Extremely loud and crass. Some staff seem unhappy tbh. Sushi and sashimi platter came out and didn't have half the pieces included in the menu picture. Mediocre and worse than supermarket sushi. No roe, no tempura prawns just salmon varieties even though the platter on the menu picture included these things. Misleading and disappointing. Anyway, we ordered mains and it was garbage. See pictures. We asked to settle the bill and paid $43 for a small sushi/sashimi platter, 4 small guyoza and 4 small calamari balls, which we ate. See receipt. I asked to pay for what we had eaten as though it was sub-par we had chosen to continue on and see if it would improve. We stopped when the mains arrived. Staff were absolutely void of any empathy. It is akin to a feeding trough in that place. If you've got 8 kids and you don't really care about trivial things like taste, service, and being able to hear yourself think then this might be the place for you. I can't say for sure, what do I know. But don't go there as a couple. Just don't. And also please don't for one second think that this is a paid for attack or fake review. I've expounded on our experience in an honest manner, and I have pictures of the mains and the receipt. It's experiences like this which makes me thankful for online reviews. (Partner has receipt pic, so it will be uploaded when she sends it too me.)More

For the price you pay and each as much as you want I don't think you can complain too much. The food is on the good side but good for the price, staff are always flat out as it pulls in a good crowd. Again...for the price you cannot complain. We did find this second time visit the food was not hot, hopefully it was a minor glitch as our first visit was very nice.More

Went here with the kids - my son’s choice - to celebrate a birthday. It’s a $35 all you can eat Japanese banquet with a difference. The choice of food is 100% your choice, you can order any time you want and reorder the same...meal, and the meals come in portions dependent on how many are eating and encouraging you not to get too full. The only caveat is that if you waste food by over ordering you pay extra. Everything is freshly cooked ( not precooked like most all you can eats) and there is a wide variety of Japanese foods on offer. The food we ordered was all tasty and well prepared. It’s not top of the range Japanese cuisine but it was a very good feed and nothing we ate disappointed. Will return.More
