We missed this little food truck on our first visit to the Portland Head Lighthouse. It's parked at the top of a rise in Fort Williams Park, and quite frankly, we were too busy looking for a parking spot. Fortunately, we had time for lunch on the way back to the airport, and the line at the window was short.... More

The other TA posts were right on target. These Lobster Rolls are the best. There are several different ways they serve the lobster rolls so there is some variety. Food truck right at the entrance of the parking and picnic area of Portland Head Lighthouse. Picnic tables available. No beer/wine. Bring your own - not sure it is allowed in... More

We had the Maine style lobster roll and it was divine! They were very generous with the lobster meat and the simplicity of the dressing (chives and mayo) was perfect! Bun was nicely toasted with butter. The roll will set you back about 18$ but well worth it in my opinion!

No visit to Fort Williams Park and the Portland Head Light is complete without stopping at the Bite into Maine food truck for a lobster roll! They offer a variety of styles all with generous amounts of lobster. Delicious!

I visited for lunch at the recommendation of a local friend. The folks working the truck were very friendly. I had the classic lobster roll and it was delicious. They have a variety of ways to order the roll, classic, picnic style, wasabi style, etc. They also offered a caprese sandwich the day I was there. There is a parking... More

We are local so the price for the experience is a little much. However, it is worth it for the experience. The lobster rolls are very much like what you can get in a nice restaurant in the area, but the CLAM COWDER was the best I've had. What you're paying for is the chance to eat outside at Portland... We taste tested lobster rolls (without mayo) from Bar Harbor to Portland and this was our favorite. Go see the lighthouse around eating time and definitely stop at this food truck. The roll was about $18. Closing this weekend (10/30) for the season.

Great lobster roll with excellent choices. We tried the wasabi mayo lobster rolls and it was really good. The lobster as very tender. Bummed out they had just run out of clam chowder because we heard it was delicious.

I had the Connecticut style (lobster with warm butter on grilled bun) it was full of lobster and so good. My husband had the Maine style (cold with mayo and celery see on a grilled bun). His was equally stuffed and he deemed it the best he had ever had. I concur!

We read about the Bite in Food and Wine, and also on Trip Advisor. It was awesome. Don't miss this location either- beautiful Maine lighthouse, gorgeous park, and great views of Casio Bay and nearby islands. All food was 10/10! Great service ..... we had the clam chowder, Maine lobster roll, chips and a Maine Root beer.... don't miss it!!
